No, I'm sorry. That is not a solution. I am using airpods for work and I care more about transparency as when I talk i want to hear my voice and how loud I'm talking. If transarency and also noise cancellation are not working, then this is not a fix. It's just a workarround so I don't throw them for the window. That is not acceptable for a 300 euros device that it is also not used that much to break. Very disappointing!

The noise cancellation is the reason why I got the AirPod Pro 2. I have the AirPod Pro 1 and never had an issue.

My Pro’s have been sitting on my bedside table for 6 months due to static noise blaring thru one ear bud which I simply could not get rid of — until watching ur video.

Turning off noise cancellation in my individual left ear bud setting has completely removed the static noise.

My pods are now back from the dead 😀

This does NOT fix the hash sound problem on the noise cancelling settings...It only BYPASSES the issue of the HASH sound is still there. CAN APPLE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT CAUSES THE BACKGROUND HASH SOUND WITH THE NOISE CANCELLING FUNCTIONS

Just clean the outside black mesh with a cleaning kit then fully reset your AirPods til they blink from white to amber then they’ll work like new again. The static is caused from the AirPod trying to match the frequency outside (how noise cancelation works) the earbuds and when some is blocking the outside black mesh doesn’t allow the AirPods noise cancellation to not work.

i don’t hear the static the whole time but when i put one of my airpods in that’s when the static starts even if i don’t have the noise cancellation on and when i jiggle it it stops.

Thanks for the fix, I actually chased it down but your video confirmed the issue. To the people who are upset with this fix, then try something else. Your issue isn’t with this video, it’s with Apple. Try an Apple store somewhere or keep chasing the solution on the internet.

I just sent my Pro 2s I've had five months back to Apple and they said nothing is wrong with them and sent them back. If they are so perfect, Apple should keep them and send me a new pair. Rediculous. I was hoping they would say it was my phone, so I could say, huh a 12 Pro Max, really?

I have a problem with my right airpod, when I make contact with my ear I hear static but when I take it off it returns to normal, it has like a sensor in the middle and when I touch it with the skin I hear that stressful sound, any solution?

I have changed the tips, there are still static noise when i turn noise isolation on. Unfortunately to repair this, Apple is also asking me to pay to fix it, at a price that's more than the airpod pro itself. They are also not willing to recognise this as a problem for airpod manufactured beyond 2010 Oct.

I have only been using it for little more than a year, and was well taken care of...
