If a manufacturer isn't ethical in respecting other brands images they probably have no problem lying to you about the safety checks that their products pass. I ride an unbranded generic frame that looks like the venge, but you'd never mistake it for the real thing after I put a "Fred-Works" logo on it 😂

It’s very disappointing some Chinese manufacturers are doing this. My friends and I have been buying Chinese frames for years, but raw carbon ones with no branding. They are really good, we have had no issues with them whatsoever, and that’s mountain bikes, gravel bikes, road bikes and TT bikes, frame and forks only.

I know I’m gonna take heat for this opinion, this is an issue because bikes are severely over priced. Even these so-called knock offs are overpriced. An axle on my car cost $280 when I purchased it, it has about 50k miles on it now. My buddy built a “knock off” bike he paid about $2k for. He’s done thousands of miles and taken some KOM’s. I ride a specialized but I love when I see people killing it on a “knockoff”. Try to explain to someone outside of cycling about the price points of bicycles and watch how shocked they are. Getting people involved in the sport is most important so that means there needs to be an accessible price point.

You think given the paint is so good they would have put more effort into the logos.

Think is for the price of this fake you could have got a genuine tarmac rim brake s-works that would kick ass and come in under 7kg with sram red for around 500-1200USD

Specialized bikes are made by Merida in Taiwan, who is the main stockholder of Specialized. Merida itself is also an international brand with a good reputation. There may be great bikes made in China like Seka, but I don't think knock-offs could be reliable.

I’d possibly trust an OEM maker who puts their own name to the bike like Winspace but I wouldn’t even use a knockoff as a commuter.

I‘m all for high quality chinese brands who try to differentiate themselves and build a brand name internationally like „Winspace“ over the past couple of years. But I would NEVER trust a knock-off bike brand to just sit on it and ride down a mountain at 70 km/h. I‘m not dying on a fake frame.
