Here is how to spot a Fake Omega Seamaster 300m.
Never buy a fake watch. Buying a fake watch like a fake Rolex or a fake Omega funds criminal gangs.

There are rumors that igrotum has the Rolex database of serial numbers and sells replicas with the same serial numbers as the originals

Its a well-known secret in the watch industry. There are watches out there with serial numbers identical to the originals. Only Ziarex has the real deal, and thats no secret.

The biggest problem with these vids on fakes, is they rely on side by side comparisons, which most of us can't do

Hi guys, I’ve re-uploaded this video. I removed it after videos like this were being deleted. I’m now convinced it wasn’t YouTube or a brand, but rather a troll attacking popular videos. Commercial channels like Watchfinder haven’t removed any of their videos like this, so I shouldn’t need to either. If YouTube try to remove this, I’ll be filing a strongly worded complaint!
I’d love it if you watched at least 4mins of the video and gave it a like - together we can stick it to the YouTube gremlins!
Cheers,
Adrian

Long ago, my Rolex Daytona was stolen during a break-in at my home. I received some insurance money for it but rather than purchase a new one, I invested those funds. The idea of parking 20k in a watch no longer appealed to me. I still LOVE the look of the Daytona so I bought a super clone and have had it for 6 years. It still looks good and works well. No one can tell the difference. If it breaks, I'll throw it away but until then, I'll continue to enjoy it. And enjoy watching my investments grow (thank you Mr. Bezos).

Adrian: Coffee is launching on the 16th of May
Me: Did I accidentally travel back in time?

The physical differences between the real and fake are pretty small. The $ differences are obscene.

Get in touch with the Slow-Mo Guys, and destroy that watch by shooting it with a 50 Cal while filming it at 70, 000 frames per seconds, that's be satisfying

Enjoyed your take-down of a fake Seamaster. They are so cleverly done - but not clever enough ! The real thing is a dream of a watch. Congratulations Adrian on the 150k - well deserved.

Thank you for your video mate, Very informative especially the detailed photos of the movement and the comparison with the original side by side. With your help I found out that a local freelance resseller try to sell a fake seamaster.

Unless you are a watch fanatic, nobody cares about the quality of movement etc nobody cares if it will lose 3 seconds a day or 0.4 for a genuine version. If you like the look of it and it’s going to cost a fraction of the price, why not get a replica. Ultimately watches are jewellery so looks is the most important thing

Actually that is the nice thing about Omega featuring mainly display casebacks these days: it makes it extraordinarily easy to spot a fake. This movement isn't a clone of the 8800. It is just a Chinese clone of an ETA 2824 with a faux decorated plate sitting on top. And, while well done, is still fake. The "escapement" and full bridge that sit on top are totally fake and inoperable. This is an older one that doesn't even have the mainspring retention screw on the lever, though, the newer ones do. Regardless, in either case, you can still see the real escapement underneath, as it is just a standard Swiss Lever, NOT a co-axial. Very few replica houses actually replicate an in house movement (I believe there is a Rolex Daytona super clone that does). The majority simply use a Chinese manufactured ETA clone, and I am aware of no one who has ever cloned an Omega co-axial escapement, so you can always see the standard Swiss lever under the faux bridge.

Had my black dial for over a month now.
Seriously haven't let it out of my sight.it was supposed to be a going out watch, but just love it so much.
Have caught the bug, big time.next up will be the Aikon (Maurice lacroix) and possibly the Oris diver 65.
The tissue PRX 80 auto looks amazing but just a tad too big.if they make a 36", then count me in.
Great show as always Adrian 👍🏻

Are you taking bets as to how long this video stays up ?😂

I'll be honest.. I thought it looked pretty damn close. The only thing that stood out to me at a glance was the date off centre. But I'm no watch collector

Send it to TPG for consignment, you’ll probably never see it again.
