What D-16/Megatron did to Sentinel Prime is brutal by tearing up his body into pieces but to be honest he definately got what he deserved anyway since Sentinel Prime is the main antagonist of this movie. Although I don't blame D-16/Megatron for hating Sentinel Prime because he had always looked up to him until he learn the truth that Sentinel Prime was never really a hero in the first place.

I don’t think Megatron usurped the throne or commit terrorism yet but he did insight a riot and can be charged with assault with a deadly weapon for accidentally shooting Orion and manslaughter for dropping Orion.
