Fantastic for Airbus. I hope AIrbus continues to be what it has been always - slowly building it's technical knowledge, slowly building its manufacturing & QA and slowly continuing with innovation.🇪🇺🇫🇮

Fun fact: As of 31 December 2023, number of A320s in service *(10, 562)* is greater than number of grand total of all Boeing aircraft in service from 717 to 787 *(10, 208).*

The XLR extended range and versatility can greatly complement carriers' operation especially in niche markets. Undoubtedly it will be presumably a resounding success for Airbus.

At long last a 757 replacement, Boeing missed a trick by cancelling the production of both the 757 & 767

Now, truly, we will see the rise of ultra-low-cost long haul, Don't be surprised if the market growth is proportional to how many of these airbus can make, what time to be alive.

It would be interesting to see what routes Jet Blue, AA and United are going to put the XLR.

I recently flew transatlantic on an A321neo and I’ll never do that again. It simply couldn’t compare to a wide body aircraft.

It will be interesting to see how long it will take for Airbus to start offering derivatives of the A321XLR. Commercially there is likely to be a market for freighters that can fly directly to smaller cities thereby reducing cargo handling and speeding delivery times but there is also likely to be a healthy market for military variants to challenge the E7 and P8 where the greater range translates to more time on station and the larger hold dimensions allow for greater payloads.

Brilliant news for Airbus and only 2 years for certification ( that's how it should be done Boeing)
This XLR is going to be a massive success for Airbus, its going to be a game changer for operators and will be very popular with passengers who will feel comfortable and confident on Airbus.
