In fact on the 5:26 part of the video, we went through the first line of the first matrix, which is the 1st row of the 1st matrix and then we multiply it by going through the 1st column of the 2nd matrix. Then 1st row again of the 1st matrix multiplying it with the 2nd row of the 2nd matrix. At the end he says the same thing. Well, just a comment for those who get confused.

Why don’t you just multiply each value in the matrix by its corresponding element in the other matrix? So a*e, b*f, c*g, d*h, surely that would make more sense
