Overall, I like the Civic Hybrid a lot. The lack of vents and power adapters in the rear is inexcusable, though. Honda is really cheapening out on things consumers expect to be standard and would not even have raised the cost to build by very much. Why does Honda think Sport models of the Accord and Civic don't need rear comforts?

The silence and your soothing voice is just worth mentioning. Good review.

Hard to say how much this will matter to Honda. Compact sedans peaked in 2015-2017 and have been in freefall ever since. Awesome or not, it's just a segment not many people buy anymore.

The other elephant in the room is that the 51 city/53 highway Camry Hybrid is also under $30, 000.

Finally! First video out, thank you for the excellent content! Definitely will look into the hybrid trims for my first car in my late 20's.

I am curious, what do others./ car confections view as the best trim for the money? Still the sport trim?

Great in depth spec review of the Civic ! Having driven 3 Hondas in my life before I moved on to luxury vehicles I have to admit I always look back to the impressive Honda instrumentation, fit and finish and smooth ride!

Love from Canada. The new Blue colour is just amazing, the only thing missing in the new Honda Civic is AWD. All wheel drive was the must to beat the Toyota Corolla.

I love that new blue color with the light interior. But I am sad it appears there is no heated steering wheel. Also, I wonder if Honda finally gave the car proper tire pressure sensors, like all the other manufacturers. The price gap with the new Camry is getting tight, and I may lean that way. Feel like you may get more for the money.

over 30 grand is wild. Fully loaded corolla hybrid starts under 30k lol

Does it have SiriusXM? Or, did they get rid of it, like on the Accords?

Looks nice. Not sure why they skimped out on not having lumbar support. For those who want most of the comfort of an Accord but don't need an ocean liner, this would fit the bill. Still not over excited about the lack of a spare. Tire repair kits are dandy until you gash a tire and have to wait not only for a tow, but for a tire shop to open, before you can move your car. They did this on the CRV too. Honda hasn't figured out how to package a hybrid system with a spare tire yet. The power is in Civic Si range, but I suspect it has gained weight too. The real test will be the drive. Hope they worked on a good suspension. If they can make a nice handling hybrid, that would create their own unique niche (in the affordable car range).

I've been looking for crossovers but this is a good looking car that I wouldn't mind getting. I like the 90s style front and European looking rear end on the hatch.

Hope Honda someday make 4wd sport hybrid civic version to compete golf R and corolla gr cross. Great changes!

Love the refreshed Civic. Simplicity yet clean and elegant inside out. I'll take the hatch for sure. Too bad in the country I lived in the stupid government imposes 300% tax on fully imported cars, making it similar to 3 series and c class price range.

i prefer the hatch for having more flexible cargo space

“Under $30K” is too high for starting price of a base hybrid if that means $29K. The 2025 Camry LE hybrid starts at around that price and is larger with likely similar fuel economy, if not better than what the Civic hybrid will have.
