3d printed test of motor mount and pulley for PM-25 spindle

I had machined the bottom part of the motor, but knew it would be a while before I could find the time to machine the pulley and the upper part of the motor mount, so I just printed them in PETG. So here you see the part attached to the top of the mill in aluminum is the new lower mount, and the blue plastic is the temporary mount to test with.

I can't believe the pulley worked, and it let me validate all dimensions including the belt length. I ran it this way for about 20 minutes before the pulley started slinging off pieces of plastic. It gave me the motivation to finish making the conversion.

You printed the pulley, and it worked? That's awesome! :)

Came here from clough’s video. Was hoping to see your spindle upgrades. Been painting my brand new pm25 for months. Hated the white. Shit job. Chipping everywhere. Using regal red and black rustoleum. Got Dave Clements ball screws. Machine starting to look the way it oughtta with a good paint job.
