The battery cover ticket is over $100, and no wake is a big fine too.

That dude was giving you guys a real shakedown. Dang. I just got cited for no life jackets. $25 ticket not $200?! Got it on video also!

Odd that we go there every summer and most of the lake is no wake but parts of otter lake you can go faster. My friend got a warning for sitting on the deck while they were cruising in the no wake zone.

I read comments from a lot of people who seem to disagree with the Fail to Provide adequate number of PFD's, and that the officer "escorted" them off the lake.  Are you aware that not having a life preserver causes MOST boating fatalities nationwide, (including and more often than not on "small bodies" of water?  And the "escort" is not harassment, but is MANDATORY for most water patrol agencies.  I has to do primarily from liability cases where an officer fails to insure the boater's safety, they continue on and someone ends up dead from drowning, and the officer and his or her agency finds themselves facing an expensive civil suit!  So THINK before you boat and don't mean mouth the officer who is trying to keep YOU safe on the water!  Even 11 year old kids learned from a boating safety class that there must be at least one PFD, of proper size and readily available, for each person on board.  The Fisher should have known better!

Well that sucked. $232 seems like a lot. I understand the reason for the ticket but I would've probably been pissed off. Lol

Pretty sure the chain has which lakes are slow no wake and which ones aren't posted at the boat landing. Just sayin gotta know the waters you are fishing. If you would have asked any local they would have helped you out we know the sheriffs on the chain too well.

It's all your fault for sitting in front! At least, that's what I got out of it! LOL BTW, what did you think of the Chain O Lakes? I fished it a few days last year and was pretty disappointed.

ok so you broke the law. just pay the ticket and deal with it. Were we to comment here to be on your side? sorry. How is it any different if you violated while catching your fish? there is a law in place for a reason.

Good job officers. These men were obviously commiting serious offenses in such a large body of water filled with sharks and sting rays.
