Butterscotch and Chow Mein Noodles: Crunch and Butterscotch = The Perfect Sweet Snack!

Nestle Butterscotch Chips (Morsels) were brand new! And the company released so many recipes to introduce the public to this new taste sensation including chow mein noodles! This is one of my favorites!

1/2 Cup Smooth Peanut Butter
1 Cup Butterscotch Chips
5 Oz Can Chow Mein Noodles
Dried or Candied Cherries

In a double boiler (or a metal pan over simmering water) melt chips into peanut butter. Once completely melted add chow mein noodles and mix until completely covered. Spoon tablespoons of mixture on to a baking sheet covered with wax paper. Top each cluster with a dried or candied cherry. Cool completely, 30 minutes to 1 hour. Enjoy!

Ok I know what I am making this weekend I definitely have a sweet tooth. I say yes to the butter scotch crunchies. Chow main crunchy noodles I never thought of that what a great idea. I was thinking it was going to be some sort of bran cereal that was making it crunch. I love that you support the local firemen they do risk their lives for all of us. Oh wow, this was a blast from my childhood, I'm not a big fan of butterscotch, but loved the crunchy noodles. My mom would use the candied cherries also
