I’d love to see you compare to an EG4 system. Their 18kpv inverter and 14.3kWh batteries appear extremely affordable for a DIY homeowner wanting a big battery system. The big drawback that I see is the limitation of either ac coupled solar OR a generator but not both.

I've done both, Solar Panels installed with my electrical company and they used my roofer that installed my roof. Much cheaper using my Ecoflow Delta Pro connected my transfer switch. Twelve 400 Watt panels which charges my six Ecoflow Delta Pros. These have run mostly 24 / 7 running my 120 V and 240V items: eleven 120 Volt circuit s and three 240V (pool pump, irrigation pump and heatpump water heater. The 120 volt items: internet, lights, microwave, TV fans .
Great part is the solar panels charge the Ecoflow batteries and energizes all circuits to include 240 volt circuits.
I also installed 22 more panels grid tied using Enphase.

Speaking of Installers going out of business. My installer was a Master Dealer for SunPower. My installer is still around but I am in limbo about management of my Solar & BESS.

Would love to see a comparison of Whole Home Backup between EnPhase / Delta Pro Ultra / Anker Solix X1.

I have 26 kW of solar using EnPhase. 72 IQ8+ inverters, 4 IQ10 Batteries (40 kWh) and the System Controller 2. I also have a Generac 26kW generator tied into the system. My solar installer went out of business and I am on my second System Controller 2 with issues still. Starting to wish I had gone with something else. Would love to see your opinion on what is available today to be able to handle this type of load. Plus when I specked out the EcoFlow DPU with the same power (kW) and storage (kWh) it was 1/3 the cost.

How much Storage (kWh)
How much Solar can it take in
Can it take a back up energy source like a generator
Does it automatically switch from grid to battery and if battery is low and no grid can it turn on the generator or use the generator to supplement house loads combined with the battery

There are many people here in Houston trying to do this with the Delta Pro Ultra but it’s difficult to get decent help and pricing with the roof PV installation.

Thanks for comparing the cost between the DIY and PRO installation costs. I'm curious to know if many pv panels and battery systems will go up in price due to tarrifs going into effect for imports. Do you think it might save homeowners a lot to buy equipment sooner than later?

I think the Delta Pro 3 is not quite the comparison you should be making. I would recommend comparing Delta Pro Ultra (DPU). I have 2 DPUs each with 3 batteries running through their 50 amp hub. That gives me 14kW output with the 2 inverters and 36kWh of storage. Granted bcs my house is what it is I had to compromise and was not able to do the Smart Home Panel 2 yet. I have to manage load manually using an interlock set up but still plenty of back up time. Altogether i got great discounts, I got all of the batteries for less than $18.5k. $1k for install of an inlet in my basement and thats it. I was able to run my house over night a cpl of times during weather outtages w/out any issue. My quote for for a 30kWh using Enphase 5Ps installed for my existing solar was just shy of $30k. Just could not pass it up.

I’m interested in a 35k whole business solar system to replace the grid in most cases. I believe AEap in Virginia. I’m interested in a micro inverter style system.i have sufficient roof space for 72 400w panels close to the right direction. I’m considering self install as I’m an electronic technician with considerable single phase knowledge but no 3 phase knowledge at all.
