This series just goes to show that cars are much more capable than people give them credit for. Sure, it's not lifted, it doesn't have lockers and isn't 'off-roading', but it's still doing what you need it to do and you didn't pay north of $80K for it.

Hi, it's 3.785 l/gal, so 30l is about 7.9us g. $60 cdn is 43usd about 40 when you took the trip. About 5.25 usd/gal of premium, cheaper the California

Glad you got to see a Rabbit. I drove an '81 with a 4-speed manual.

I watched the video years and years ago about a guy that lived up that way that drove an old air-cooled all-wheel drive Porsche 911 as is daily. It was lifted and on off-road tires and he used it for hunting and fishing.

I hope when this series was over Roman made a beeline to the local zoo to get his bear fix.

If you want to see bears, go to Pennsylvania. I have a black bear walk right in front of me at a KOA. Scared the crap out of me!

I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be “contiguous” not “continuous” United States. Right?

I lived in Fort St John BC for 3 years. Familiar with the Alaska highway, nice series here.

I did the run from Anchorage, AK to Bellingham, WA in 62 hours in a Dodge Colt Vista . . . It least it was four-wheel-drive.

I still have my AlCan book . . .although it was a little thinner then.

Tommy and Cole would have been a good pair on this trip.

There seemed to be no end of German🇩🇪 number plates at the Signpost Forest. I also think I saw one from Austria🇦🇹.

What a great series! This gives your average viewer the opportunity to see Alaska and Canada through an entertaining driver’s viewpoint that only TFL can do and that most of us will never see otherwise in our lifetimes! Always loved the X1!

"how often do you get to see a bear that close"?

me, who lives in BC: idk every few weeks? (and ppl in less developed areas, or those whose jobs take em into the backcountry would be much more often)

It’s a great drive! I’ve done it several times on two wheels. You’re lucky that you weren’t delayed by wildfires.Did the Prudhoe Bay ride on a BMW. then later on a Harley. You don’t understand what the phrase “middle of nowhere” means until you’ve been on the Haul Road.
