Is the Torque 35 Compound Bow Any Good? (MWIII)

Season 5 Reloaded for Modern Warfare III brought the brand new Torque 35 Compound Bow and today, I wanted to dive deep and break this bow and all of its different arrow types down to see how good it really is. What are your thoughts on the Torque 35 in MWIII so far?

It’s perfect in terms of gameplay. I am disappointed that there isn’t any attachments for it outside of the arrows. I wish we could make a build with a slower draw time but better velocity and range vs a faster draw time with less range and velocity.

Now we just need a slingshot in the pistol category. Faster fire rate, infinite base ammo since it's just rocks off the ground, and a one hit kill to the head, but a 2-3 hit kill anywhere else depending on the range and where you hit them. Then you could have different ammo types, like explosive, or gas grenades, as well as napalm/thermobaric instead of thermite, a "shotgun round" that can damage multiple enemies but would only be a one-shot kill at nearly point blank range, and finally a tracker round that would only deal a small amount of damage from a direct impact but would spray a bunch of trackers like the similar utilities do. It would also have fairly high movement speed and the fastest sprint to fire times in the game.

The caustic (gas) tips are really most effective in Hardpoint. If you know you’ve got targets in there, one hit and they’re choking. Also bypasses the trophies.

Well I put in 5-6 shots down range at 15 meters with my SMG only to get one tapped instantly by this thing so I’d say it’s pretty good

As others have said, I also feel the crossbow needs a buff now. Although it IS more customizable than the C-Bow, I don't think that gives it enough of an edge to beat the C-Bow. I think they should add more arrow types for the Crossbow, like Ice arrows or Shock arrows or something.

10:20 unrelated to the video, but I didn’t know you could access that area in that map, can’t believe I didn’t see it in almost 3 seasons

For those of us that play Invasion/Ground War, the explosive tipped bolts are surprisingly effective at dealing with vehicles. 3 or 4 hits seems to be all you need to disable an LTV, and since the explosive damage doesn't care if you fully 'charge' the bow before shooting or not, you can spam those fairly quickly. Of course, it's not as reliable at taking down aerial killstreaks, but it still take care of the low-flying ones as long as you're close enough.

As a side note, how ridiculous is it that a literal bow and arrow is a more effective counter to vehicles than any of the actual launchers in the game?

5:31. Does there happen to be half-draw? There was a video on reddit where you could one-shot up close on torso with the ripper arrows without full-draw.

a trophy does counter the blastcap arrows if it sticks to a riot shield and the shield is close to the trophy system... it's very weird and specific but it has happened a few times to me so far.
