I think the bigger reason for her abrupt change in her affections was that she didn’t want him to run for, or be president. I think Donald didn’t really care that she didn’t want to be the First Lady, and ran anyway. Melania always struck me as a very private person, who enjoyed being a wife and mother…not living in the fish bowl that is the White House.

English is her second language that's why she have to focus more when she speaking English because she knows if she mispronounce something people will criticize her badly for doing so. I don't think she likes to be in the center of attention which is fine not everyone have to love that. She is more private person which is fine nothing wrong with that and she doing everything to protect her son from public scrutiny which is actually showing how wonderful mother she is to him.
