This is what happened with me and finding solutions.
In the morning I played games normally but all the sudden it started lagging (low FPS) even when my laptop was plugged in ( I have same laptop as you ) I tried updating drivers, cleared the caches and temp files everything but still not working.
HOPE TO FIND SOLUTION HERE.

i got new laptop gaming few weeks ago playing games normally and suddenly its lagged so i updated the driver .. it went smooth again… AND THEN i started play game it went to lag like hell even the driver is updated … why this thing even happened anyway omfg..is there anyone have the same experience and tried to fix it?i wanted to know before i went to the pc store that i bought from to fix it.

I decided to get the nvidia app. no login required just updated all my drivers that way. worked.

i have been trying for almost a week now test after test troubleshooting but i didnt use it for a month before hand i was running 300 fps but now i can hardly get out of the single digits i have updated everything and i dont want to tear up my floor to get an ethernet cable but i mostly play offline i have the same laptop except i have the ryzen 7 model and a rtx 3050

My MSI laptop is working very good everytime Im playing Dota2... Unfortunately I work abroad for 1 year and then I was not able to use my laptop for a year not even turn it on even once for 1 year.. Now when I decided to comeback playing all of a sudden my laptop is very laggy and a beet freezing.. dota is freezing and lagging also.. I already updated everything..

but ive heard if you download an older graphics driver update you get more FPS performance than updating to the newest version of your driver?

i bought a laptop a few months ago and everything was fine but yesterday i got like 80-100 fps in valorant, back then i used to get like 150-200 and sometimes it'd go upto 250 fps. And other games like gta 5, rdr 2, hitman 3 were also running very smoothly in high graphics but now its very laggy. Im experiencing lags in every games cant play hitman gta rdr in high graphics anymore pls help me man

Like bro I have the same exact laptop like you right. 2 days ago my laptop was working perfectly no problems whatsoever but now all of a sudden my laptop just starts lagging like I can’t even run Roblox in 1 graphics no more without random lags. I have dolphin emulator lags, i have gtx 1650, but as i can see, people play games with emulator on phone and having 60 fps, while i have same emulator, same game, but 20 fps. ALTHOUGH the perfect stats for that specific game are at least intel core i5 & a gtx of 10XX ( dont remember exactly). So i think i have some technical issues going on. It just cant be to have a better cpu & gpu, but having 20 fps with lowest settings, while phone has max settings & 60+ fps. If anybody understands the topic of cpu, gpu & all that stuff & if you can please leave a comment on what i might need to setup, turn on/off to better performence. Thanx!
