(I wrote this before getting very far into the video so apologies if I say something you end up addressing yourself later in the video lol)
the 1st time I heard Never Change that 'lost & found' metaphor really hit me hard.

at the beginning of the song he says that The Lord would never say that he (Tyler) is going down, that He would never stop searching lost & found (presumably for Tyler) and then later in the song Tyler flips it, saying, he (Tyler) will never say that "they're" going down, and he(Tyler) will "look for them in this lost and found"

my interpretation is that the "lost & found represents this life. and tho Tyler doesn't understand why The Lord would care that much for him, at the same time he's proving that exact point by showing how much he cares about others who are also "lost". I think it's just a really beautiful representation of a young man coming into a greater understanding of his faith.

I grew up with the likes of Barbara and Neil Diamond and this song reminds me of classic Barry Manilow love ballads, for some reason. I love this. I feel this. I need someone to prove me wrong, still. Just like "Lovely, " I need that too! He gives hope. I am still skeptical that I'll ever have it in this life, but maybe. Who knows?!?!
