These animals truly can go where motor vehicles and air relief can not - over the rubble, places with washed out roads, through the mud, and sometimes even water. These people offering their service with their mules are a special blessing during this awful time.

so proud of the long ears. Much respect for the mule owners/ drivers from this retired owner of mammoth stock (the donkey daddies of the large mules) and standardbred driving horses. Please folks, when roads are restored please show respect towards the equines on the roads or being transported. They paved the way.

Mules are awesome! My grandfather was awarded the Croix de Guerre during WW! for getting critical supplies over the Vosges Mountains because he was the only one there who knew how to work with mules!!!
