I would like to let everyone know that I bought a Brydge Keyboard for my new iPad Pro 11. I used it for 2 days. I fumbled and dropped it on the floor from waist height. (It is extremely heavy and cumbersome to handle.) It was closed at the time with covers on the outside. It landed on the bottom left corner of the device/case. The bottom left hinge shattered and the weight of the case gave the device so much momentum that it shattered the screen and screen protector of the device as it landed on the unprotected bottom corner. The design offers no protection at all for the very expensive device overall. It leaves, however, the bottom hinge areas - where the device is clamped into the keyboard - completely exposed. Lucky I had AppleCare, but there is only so many times that you can do this. Unless you want to just use this device in one place and not move it anywhere - like on a desk- I would not recommend at all the Brydge - No matter how "cool" it may seem. It will not protect your device and may in fact contribute to it breaking!

constructive feedback: it would be helpful to elaborate on what the issues you were having with the Brydge for us viewers who don't regularly watch your channel

My school used the Logitech slimfolio for iPad 2018. Good protection, but it had 2 CR2032 batteries and no chaging facility. Also, the keys tend to drop out when they travel in the pupils rucksack every day. We were forced to change to the Zagg rugged messenger which has a lot more solid keys. It also is chargeable, and there is key lightening with multiple colours and various levels of light as a bonus, allthough not so useful in daytime at school. You can also put away the keyboard and still have some protection if you want to use the camera or some other activity off the table.

I have the STM DUX Plus case & I love it for the protection. But I don't like the extra weight or having my ipad covered up. I just bought the Apple Smart Folio for my Pro 11" and I love it. I have ordered the STM DUX Shell Folio for it, but to be honest, I don't think I'll use it. I only use my iPad Pro at home. I love having a lightweight cover with a keyboard built in. No need to charge it and my iPad is so accessible.

Great video! I just returned the Logitech slim folio to get the Apple smart keyboard instead since the price was significantly reduced. The Logitech has to be charged, connected to Bluetooth which use lots of battery on the Ipad pro, the Apple keyboard connects right away and doesn't have to be charged. Very slim and convenient to take with traveling. Logitech is bulky and heavier! Those are my reasons for exchanging the keyboards. 🙏

The bridge keyboard makes it feel way too much like a macbook, the Apple keyboard folio is the only keyboard that doesn’t take away from the iPads thinner sexier tablet feel

If I had to use some of these cases, I'd get a Surface Pro instead. I got the iPad Pro and Smart Keyboard because it's a superbly portable yet extremely powerful mobile solution. I have a BT mouse, small 1TB external SSD and a small USB hub, and I'm good to go. When I rocked a Surface Pro 5, I got the power, but I needed to bring along the charger as well: the iPad Pro will go all day on a charge. Getting a bulky keyboard case changes the equation for me. I didn't think I'd like the Smart Keyboard, but I'm surprised how quickly and accurately I can type on it.

I bought the Logitech and it’s really good, but you should only get it if you ONLY do typing on your iPad. For anything else (reading, art, etc.), I recommend that you avoid it.

It is WAY too bulky to hold in tablet mode and there is no attachment for tablet mode so the keyboard is very loose and hard to hold. The Little hump that you can make for sketching is too small. It just feels like it’s lying flat on its back and literally just falls out of the way you prop it up. Sketching mode is pretty much useless. The buttons are also really mushy and take a LOT of force to press and can only be done with both hands.

But if the only thing you’ll be doing on your iPad is typing, then it’s really good. For me, since I do art and music as well as typing, this case is just way too restrictive for me when doing those other activities.

I have the Apple Smart Folio Keyboard and I don’t like it. It’s missing too many features I’m accustomed to. I’ve been spoiled from using my Zagg keyboard with my 10.5” iPad. It has backlit keyboards, it’s easy to open and close, the speakers are projected towards me, so the sound is always loud and clear without having to max out my volume.

I’ve never watched a video where someone rabbits on for so long, but actually says very little, except constantly repeating:
Boom, no issues with that, so there you go and check it out!

wish there was a folio style case with magnetic keyboard that could attach and detach easily.

Aside from the flashy colours do any of these keyboards offer functionality the others don’t? And which is the most comfortable to type with should you put your keyboard on your lap?

Why not use leather cover for tablet mode or pencil write mode ?

Now that iOS 13 supports ecternal storage, I hope they’ll build a hub/dock into the case

I'm going to wait till the cases start having a trackpad. With the new iOS 13 having support for a mouse, a trackpad would be great!

Great info. You mentioned the Rugged Go Book. Great product but the hinges on the kickstand break easily so check that out when you review it. I have replaced my Go Book twice in two years and I am not rough on it!

I went with the Logitech. Great typing, I like the Bluetooth LE for quick connecting, and the Pencil flap is a nice touch.
