Amazing playing. This is probably my favorite piano concerto from Beethoven. I am lucky enough to be able to go to see Zimerman playing it soon :)

Mr. Barton, your tempi (also with the elephants) are perfect.
Many pianists (and sometimes very "great" pianists ...) are playing with unappropiated tempi. In the slow parts not slow enough, and in the fast parts not fast enough ....
But you have it. You are a blessed man (this is obvious) and the "right-tempi-gift" is a very seldom one, reserved for some souls only .... (Horenstein, Szigeti, Klemperer, Schnabel, Feuermann, Feinberg, ... are these names telling something to you ? ?)

And what about your phrasing and especially your accents ? !!

So moving, because just sincere.
So many "technicians" of the piano playing with so many errors of appreciation and feeling .... a disaster ....

But you ...; I could listen to you for (a smiling) Eternity.
