I LOVE the way the pianist played, the clarity of the notes and flexible fingers, her style, her expression, her gesture, her look, her stunning natural beauty, and her dress and hairstyle which, is the most suitable for classical music!!!! It brings us back to the atmosphere of the olden days when the performers wore classical dresses and outfits that accompanied the classical music. Please keep it that way lady!! Don't follow the modern style of fashion. You are unique and beautiful! We love to see more of you on the stage!

I wore out long playing records listening to this in my teens! Now I'm 76 and it's blowing my mind on YouTube. Absolutely beautiful performance!

Breathtaking Symphony piece! A Johanna Hanikova Masterclass in piano panache and flair with gusto! No pretentious reservedness or composure; just charismatic and stupendous piano playing in the moment! What an incredible talent! Such a joy to watch!

I love that it looks like the conductor is enjoying the pianist, the pianist is enjoying the orchestra, they are all just present, savoring the beautiful music.

The soloist looks like she walked out of late 1800s oil painting

I remember my dad playing this some sixty years ago. Hearing it again takes me back to those good times. Grateful that it is delivered without interruptions.

I'm 75 and remember playing this in the background while reading War And Peace when I was ten. It has influenced me through several additional readings and life in general. I can only agree with most of the previous posts and will not try to upstage any of them. So glad I discovered this video and such a remarkable pianist! There have been three classical pieces which have influenced and guided me throughout my life. This is one of them. Whenever I need to reprogram my mind I listen to one and it helps me get back on track.

She plays with gusto, with bravura, her confident arms making wide, graceful arcs through the air, which are the expansive and bold gestures of a true virtuoso, and even when she is not playing and it is the orchestra's turn, she continues expressing the emotion of the music through the movements of her body. As she listens to the orchestra her body sways to its rhythm. You can see the music is in her soul and in her body, in every fiber of her being.

If someone so magnificent can flub an occasional note, I feel a lot better about myself. This was a stunningly beautiful performance. Orchestra and pianist played with such joy and passion. I wish more musicians threw themselves into the music like this.

It is almost impossible to believe that someone composed this, let alone play it. Every phrase is a wonder!

The pianist looked like she was having a great time playing that most difficult work. And she looked lovely.

She has such an expressive touch, ranging from delicate to powerful. Lots of fire in the Rondo and the orchestra supported her all the way! I love seeing all the musicians smiling!

May I add that we can see and hear that Clara loves the music she is playing. No notes on paper needed - it's all in her mind and in her heart and it is from there that she creates beautiful sounds for a message being sent back through the years to Ludwig himself saying 'Thank you sir. Your work is the everlasting reason for the people of this world to feel good and to smile knowing that you will always understand and care about us".

This is one of those concerts where the video stream actually enhances the incredible music. You get to see, and almost feel the joy expressed by Johanna as she plays. A joy that permeates the music and is mirrored deep within.
