I love Airachnid's design and her hovercopter mode even more. Those blade legs and hidden eyes are iconic. Literally obsessed I'm begging for her deluxe toy figure.

I desperately *NEED* an art book dedicated to the art direction and designs of the characters and setting of the movie as I absolutely loved the designs of the Transformers, the underground City of Iacon, The Quintessons and the fantastic design of Cybertron, its wildlife and its worldbuilding.
I swear the art department put their heart and soul into capturing Cybertron's beauty and giving a sense of understanding to the planet's scope and environment in a way we've never seen. There are so many great ideas that would really help inspire artists like myself.

Designers poured their all into making the female bots stand out. Airachnid is top brass, Elita-1 distinct, Arcee faithful to her original, Chromia polished and the female Primes Solus and Quintus the most original of the bunch.

Airachnid is probably my favorite design out of the entire movie, I think the part I love most is the spring legs with the hoops. I’m also a fan of how they did her multiple eyes, instead of doing the straight forward approach of having them all on her face they’re on the sides which gives her a panoramic view which is a lot more tactical

Man they absolutely COOOOKED with these designs. Tbh I didn't notice how much smaller the miners were without their cogs, that adds so much to the (kinda wish it was a bit more obvious in the movie, but maybe that's just me)

I really like the touch of having same name Transformers, idk it just makes them if not more human then at least more relatable. Having common names then running into people with the same names are like the usual stuffs for most people.

21:05 I'm more so glad that Zeta Prime has taken the place of the 13th Prime. I love the lore of the 13 Primes but i have always hated the 13th Prime being reincarnated into Optimus. Optimus should be a Prime because he's a pure being that would never use his power for evil, making him Worthy of the Matrix, not just because he's the reincarnation of the 13th. So them completely abandoning the 13th Prime in favor of Zeta Prime makes me very happy.

19:19 To be fair, his name is literally "AMALGAMOUS PRIME." The Prime of Prankster, the Loki of the Thirteen, and the master of shapeshifter.

In fact, this "bizarre" design is actually far more friendly than his original design. His original design looking like he came straight out of Warhammer 40K, grotesque but in a good way.

Great work on not only pulling all of these resources together and presenting them, but also taking the time acknowledge those who worked at ILM to make them a reality. Too often do we forget the actual people who make these things real!
