1 3/4 inch cut binding? Zigzag other side 5 wide/5 long luxe cuddle or use serpentine on cuddle. Thank you so much Teresa!

i want to make a quilt for my great grand son, they want it to be an outdoorsy theme with all kinds of animal prints, Deer, moose, antelope, that kind of stuff and made with flannel, on one side and the cuddle Minky on the other side, should i preshrink the flannel and the cuddle Minky first, before i cut anything? also can i put batting in between ? if so what batting should i use ? thank you so much this will be my first time doing this not sure what i am doing thanks for all the help you can give me
