This video was a good reminder for me to consider rounding the corners on bed quilts. The quilt on our bed hangs down a ways and it's easy to catch your foot on the corner of the quilt when rounding the bed. When I washed the quilt this summer (quite an undertaking to launder a king size quilt in the bathtub!), I discovered the bottom corners were the dirtiest part of the quilt. I wish I had made those corners rounded!

Great tutorial. One question. Please what is the name of designer and manufacturer of the multi color piece of fabric with quarter square triangles? Is it whole cloth or did you make? I’m watching on my phone and I’m not certain if it’s delightful little blocks you’ve joined or whole cloth. Thank you for your lovely videos and a voice that is pleasant to hear.

I like the gig you said you made when you piece the ends of the bias binding together. Maybe you can do a video where you show us how we can make our own. Pretty please.

Very happy you addressed this, the bias binding and curves! I've been wanting to do the candy cane striped binding but haven't researched it yet.Thank you for all the useful information and instructions. As always Karen, you Rock!

Thank you for such a thorough discussion of bias binding. I’m with you I think method one is the one that makes the most sense to me.😁

I never knew how rounded or curved edges were done. Thanks for sharing about those templates.

I’m not new to sewing but am new to quilting. Your tutorials are my first choice for technical advice. Thank you for your clear and well-paced videos. I’m hoping you keep offering the quilting cruises a few more years as one of those is high in my bucket list! You are very much appreciated!

I've only made bias binding - never tried the straight version. I just feel happier using it, especially when the stripes look diagonal. Cheers Karen xx

Hi Karen. I am a brand new quilter. Subscribed to your channel and love what I have watched so far. I am waiting for my new Janome skyline s 7 to arrive. I am not new to sewing but it’s been a while. 20 years I used to sew all my daughter baby clothes. Enjoyed that so much. Moved on to doll clothes and then took a break. Mostly because I wore out my hand me down Elna. So excited to get started with some easy projects. I was thinking about a wall handing. Could you share some beginner project ideas.
Thank you. Rosmary.

Thanks again Karen for a great video. I’ve done bindings straight and bias and prefer the bias. Great hints as always.

I use regular and biased binding. I’ve tried technique 1 and 2 for making bias binding, but generally stick to method 1 for cutting. I don’t like cutting long strips with scissors because it often comes out too wonky. Great video!

Thanks a great tutorial. I have been bias binding my quilts for a very long time. To me they are cosier if they don't have pointy corners. 😊 But beware of polka dots or any graphic pattern that is printed on the diagonal. You have to fussy cut so the dots are all the same. I can't be bothered with that so no polka dot binding for my quilts. 😊🇨🇦
