The Bible seems to say belief in Christ alone is what saves you, and that repentance is evidence you're saved. You truly disavow your sin. You own up to it. And trust Jesus paid the fine.

lol reach with that verse. Repent of which sins? some or all them? Should I buy that sin scale on amazon so I can weigh myself daily to see if God still loves me or pluck out my eyes and stab my ears so I can fully repent of all my sins?

Repentance is believing in what Christ did and receiving the Holy Spirit and being made alive in Christ. The forgiveness of sin is not salvation, but it made salvation possible. Which is why God was christ reconciling the world unto himself through the cross. All people are forgiven but not all people are saved.

Repentance is a one time thing. Repent ( change your mind from UNBELIEF) and believes the gospel.
The gospel is found in 1 Cor. 15:1-4 and is also called GOOD NEWS! It's Jesus' death, burial and resurrection...we believers believe it really happened and that Christ paid our debt IN FULL!

There's one question that I've had that really bugs me and that's why does God set a variable time limit on our salvation? For example one teenager could die from a gunshot wound to the head without knowing God and get sent to hell with only 18 years to make a decision on whether or not he wants to be in heaven for eternity by believing in God but then somebody can go 80 years being an atheist and then die on their death bed confessing to God and go to heaven.

So my question is why does God set a time limit on salvation that varies for different people and why does he not extend it beyond death where we will know beyond a shadow of a doubt whether or not hell and have an actually exists and have all the facts to make that accurate and valid decision?

How can you tell me it is not evil to give a 5 year old and SAT test and when he fails you shoot him in the head cause that's basically the equivalent of what God is doing with us the time we have on Earth and the limited knowledge we have.

Repentance does not mean turning from sin. Repentance is a change of mind about who Jesus is, what He has done for you, and about sin and it leads to a turning away from sin. That change of mind that you have will lead to a change of action. A repentant heart does not want to live a wicked life anymore. It has new desires, and it goes in a different direction. It turns from sin. Acts 3:19 “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”
Jonah 3:10 proves that turning away from evil ways is “work “and not Bible repentance
Jonah 3:9-10, “Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.”

This guy had it 100% until he added “of your sins”, which is NOT what the Bible says. The Bible just says “repent and believe” and not “repent of your sins and believe”. If you have to be changed to believe, then what’s the point of God? What’s the point of Jesus? Jonah 3:10 refers to turning from evil ways as “works” and the New Testament refers to works as not necessary for salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5-6, Romans 4:5-6.

The Bible is either all correct or it’s all false. Then why do these things contradict everything this man says and MANY other pastors? It’s because every one of them add “of your sins” to their doctrine. They make salvation impossible. Jesus said…. Matt 11:30. If this is true, then salvation must also be easy. These teachers likely all received their education from a school funded by evil money. Their curriculum was created by the works thereof. So they teach this false gospel that you must FIRST be good and then believe. Errrr! You must “repent of what you believe in regards to God and salvation and believe on the Lord Jesus and his sacrifice to wash you…. And then you’ll be saved.” After that, you will be a child of the Most High. From there, repent of your sins is something you should do if you don’t want daddy to punish you, silly child. Because our Father will keep us in line till death. Even if it’s our sins that end up killing us. But, no, you don’t need to be perfect to be saved. Cuz that’s what these people’s doctrine teach.
