My older sister Debbie had this album when we were kids. She was a cool 13-year-old and I was 8. I took the album without asking her because I just loved this song. I played it over and over one day on my little kid's record player and being a dumb kid, scratched it. Scared, I hid the album under a cabinet in the basement. She asked me if I knew where it was and I said no. She thought one of her friends stole it. I was generally a very good kid. Not sure why I did that but it was not right. I forgot about the album, years went by. I have not heard this song in decades. It just popped up. Everything just came back to me. I'm so very sorry Deb. I apologize. Debbie passed 3 years ago from cancer....

No you're absolutely not being unrealistically partial to Bread's music. This is a fantastic song in every way. Bread were second to none, they were the best US Group ever. Period. Their music speaks for itself.

Def one of the most underrated/least talked about bands ever. I don't think they ever had a bad song

I recently travelled around Morocco. I was in a 4WD in the middle of the Sahara desert when this song came on. It took me straight back to the 70's at school and listening to this on the transistor. Love it.

Jimmy Griffin had a beautiful voice and had he been in any other group he would have done all the lead vocals. A true testament to just how good David Gates was.

A classic recording from James Griffin, co-founder of Bread. One of his best!

Beautiful Music. They have been one of my Favorite bands now for 47 years. Discovered them around 1970. I was originally attracted to the songs written by David Gates. For reasons unknown to me or for many of Jimmy's fans David's songs were usually chosen to be released as singles. But after collecting most of their albums I discovered that Jimmy had written a lot of good songs too that I think should have been released as singles and I think they would have charted just as well. Jimmy's lyrics were also very good. I wished I had followed his career after Bread more closely. I ran across a website of a music blogger that knew Jimmy personally and had worked with him. Jimmy went back home and was instrumental in helping a lot of new artist to get there breaks. He was just a great person and very humble. I miss him greatly and we have been without his presence since January 11 2005. RIP Jimmy
