Most Overrated Indie Game

This is a weird take to me. Yes, the moment-to-moment gameplay of Brotato is not good. The game is focused almost entirely on macro-level play. Could they make playing the rounds more fun? Yes. Does them being lackluster make the game that much less fun? I say no.

if you haven't played a game it's pretty insane to say it's boring, not every game is fun to watch, sometimes you have to be doing it.

His issue is enemy variety and character variety. The enemies that exist barely change how you interact the farther you go in, and same with the characters you pick right off the bat. Meanwhile Isaac and Risk dynamically change per area and the characters greatly change how you engage in fights.

Brotato is just using the same gun 6 times against some purple blobs on a small grey floor.
Vampire survivors is using 6 different weapons that all evolve against fantasy monsters inside of a milk factory.
Why would i play brotato?

I mean, you could say the same thing about StS, "just playing cards", but Brotato is fun for similar reasons as StS since plowing down enemies with overpowered combos is super fun.

Aside from a few early game rooms and bosses I don’t find myself running in circles in Isaac

If you're finding the game too easy, play on a higher difficulty. It's not complicated gameplay, but I at least almost always have to dodge around like a bullet hell.

Most people beat me to it but WOAH slow your roll their, it's a bullet hell and basically a deck with a shit ton of combos and stuff, and in the same sense with slay the spire and Isaac it has some pretty based mods and unlike the two it's actually a heavily updated and active game

i kinda agree with this take and it's why i never jived well with the brotato uploads. yes, plenty of games are similar in play pattern, but to me there's just not enough content within Brotato's play pattern to reliably entertain me
