Indie Games VS AAA Games

It's understandable that a company with hundreds of employees and a budget of only millions of dollars couldn't make a game better than a tiny indie company, totally makes sense!

the reason why the AAA dev is drunk is because he is trying to forget about the 2 month long crunch he is enduring

To be fair the AAA has to buy all this alcohol to be permanently drunk.
That is expensive.

I like how Indie is just standing there like "Are you okay bud?" Indie's nice.

I now read "AAA" in the way it's supposed to be read: as a short, yet painful scream.

“When the space man shoots his gun you feel the exaggerated swagger of a space man” 10/10 IGN

With every passing day, this ages like a fine wine.

Totally unrealistic. It should be Space Gun Man 27.

As someone with some game dev experience, I can attest to this. The guys Ive met who worked for the big game developers have nothing but horror stories.

AAA: What is this?
Indie: The title-screen
AAA: But what’s the point in the colors and interactive things?
Indie: *PRESENTATION*

Actually, the AAA game has 90 hours of gameplay, but 86 hours are just grinding.

"I-I-I don't know know, Rick, I uh, I like my games to be original."
"Shut up, Mooorty, and *burp* hand me...hand me that zombie battle royale mode!"

Indie developer: I can't believe how much funding you get for your games!
AAA developer: I can't believe how much creative freedom you have for your games.

I wholeheartedly believe greedy triple A games are a definite factor for what helped push Indie games into slowly becoming more influential.

Spoiler: it’s called AAA not beacuse of an acronym, it’s not even called “triple A”, it’s a scream.
A cry for help, from the universe they created.

you forgot "We made our game look pretty, admittedly mostly for budget reasons but we also think it adds a little charm" vs "this game would be 10 dollars if we didn't hire 97 people to detail every wrinkle on the protagonist's foreskin, but we did so it's gonna be 59.99"

I feel like this isn't even a joke, it's just reality.

Indie game developers are so nice. Look at Terraria for example:
- It has hundreds of hours of content
- The gameplay is great with its combat, building and progression
- It’s filled to the brim with bosses, blocks, items and accessories
- Until recently, it’s been updated frequently for free, with each update adding lots of content

And to top it all of, ReLogic only sold it for $10

Hollow knight literally has 50+ hours of content, three free dlcs and it's 15$

It’s not really the AAA developers saying it, it’s their bosses
