It's very weird to think that if Megatron wasn't picked up by Brainstorm, he probably would've just become a scholar like Orion, and they would've changed the world together.

Megs is literally what happens when the quiet guy is thrown in prison and pushed to his limit.

To be honest I always preferred Megatron as a character from Optimus prime this version I love because he has reasons to do what they did I really do hope he gets an animated series

I agree with ya, Sentinel Prime has a really cool design here. And it’s a shame that we never got a proper toy of it (let alone third party toys of it), the closest we got is the Titans Return toy, which is a retool.

I honestly cannot blame Megatron for going down the path of war. Especially when the corrupt Senate of Cybertron are to blame for putting him on that path in the first place.

Megatron initially wanted to make changes to Cybertron’s society through non-violent means, which ultimately would’ve stripped the corrupt Senate of their power.

Seeing that Megatron was gonna be a threat to their reign, the Senate ordered an Autobot that worked directly for them, Whirl, to kill him after he was arrested and in police custody (Megatron actually didn’t do anything, a friend of his brutalized two military cadets and he was arrested just for being associated with him). While beating his helpless prisoner, Whirl told Megatron that it didn’t matter if he died and that nobody cared about him.

Whirl was caught in the act and restrained before he could finish Megatron off, as he was being set free due to an eyewitness testimony saying he was not involved in the beating his friend gave to those cadets. While Megatron wasn’t killed, the psychological damage had been done. As his sense of injustice and powerlessness made him realize that a more forceful approach was required in order to change society.

So yeah, Megatron was a good person. But unfortunately the corrupt society he sought to change ended up changing him for the worst when they tried to silence him. The Senate ultimately created the instrument of their destruction.

12:00 - according to the official tech-Specs - Starscream could reach Mach 2.8 and Skywarp and Thundercracker roughly Mach 2 (1500 MPH / ~2400 KPH).
It is likely Starscream is engaging in a bit of exaggeration here.. or possibly their Cybertronian modes were faster than their earth modes.

Later seekers : Thrust Mach 2.5, Ramjet Mach 2, and Dirge (the slowest) at approximately Mach 1.8

Megatron is badass, he wouldn't let someone else tell him who he was and what he should be, feel or think. He was the revolution, that's why the bourgeoisie (=Autobots) hated him so much.

Love the irony in replacing the (mechanical) miners with automation. Lol. And then Megatron fighting a gladiator that looks an awful alot like Cy-Kill, from Gobots. The 80s toy aisle war brought to life.

TFP had a similar approach but the gladitoral pits were used for entertainment also megatron was more heroic he killed thf mob bosses who owned the pits and ended the selling of dead cybertronian parts for good and he fought for his people and truly wanted to help them

When Megatron, is fighting the other gladiator, the other gladiator looks like CyKill from GoBots. Just adding this edit. Glade to see others see CyKill as well.

5:22 IDW's hella funny for doing this. So the gladiator that Megatron fights and kills here resembles "Cy-Kill", the main villain from GoBots (Transformers toy rival).
