Eight years after you made this video, you're still helping people with their technique. I have watched a few others' videos, but this one really helped me figure out what I was doing wrong. I'm 6'2" & my back isn't the greatest. I was definitely not using proper technique up until today. Thank you!

Three personal trainers tried to explain deadlifts to me and nobody could do it. I watched about 100 tutorials and videos but still nothing. I tried it so hard at the gym but I always made some mistakes. Until I saw this video. I mean the thing that mostly helped me was the tip number 1, to keep your hands straight all the time, it's much easier to get proper form when you know that.

Thanks guys. I'm currently deadlifting 150kg (330lb), my trainer videoed my form for me and I realised I'm definitely guilty of rounding my back. I'm going to practice implementing your tips and record it again :)

One big mistake is the look in the mirror. Overextending the head to see yourself in front in the mirror or rotate the head to the side to check if the back is unbowed.

Honestly, I’ve seen so many videos ripping on somebodies form, I’m glad you guys put this out. My trainer gave me the basics recently (I’m just getting into this and I’m getting older, so injuries last these days). I want to practice, but I don’t wanna screw it up. Thanks!
