These Are 10 Biggest Canines Around

There’s no way around it: Big dogs are simply awesome.
They’re fun (if sometimes overwhelming) playmates, they make phenomenal snuggling companions,
and most function as significant criminal deterrents, despite their often-gentle ways.
While there are dozens of breeds that qualify as “big”
(which we arbitrarily and loosely defined as those weighing more than about 50 pounds),
we’re restricting our focus to only the 10 biggest Canines Around.

My English Mastiff just passed. They create such a bond, so hard to lose him. He weighed in at 212, and passed at 13 years 8 months. I swear by these dogs as protectors. Spartacus patrolled my yard n the woods against coyotes, racoons, bears and cougars. Having treed probably 20 to 30 bears over the years, and about a 3 to 5 second scrap with a cougar, yet protected our chickens, grandkids, wife for 13 long years.
I miss him so much

I have a Great Pyrenees. He's is larger than most. He's 2 years and 5 months old, weighing in at 160 pounds and, 33 1/2" at the shoulders. They reach full growth at 4 years. My vet expects him to grow at least another 6 to 8" taller and probably weigh in at 180 to 200 pounds. I rescued him at 6 weeks old and started his training the first day. He was completely house broke by 8 weeks. I trained him non-stop the first year, working to be my service dog and my companion. He was certified at 15 months but as a service dog they are always training and learning.

Hi! You missed Leonbergers. They're huge. Also, the dogs you refer to as "Anatolian Shepherds" are Turkish Kangal dogs. In Turkey, there is no breed recognized as the Anatolian Shepherd, only Kangals.

I’m not sure if this is supposed to be how it is but my Bernese mountain dog is 120 pounds at 8 months old and the vet says he needs to eat more 😂

i have an 11 year old english mastiff and a 14 week old blue great dane. they are both calm, and were super easy to train. our mastiff is protective, but very friendly and non-aggressive. our dane is smart, loves to swim and potty trained himself. big dogs are angels.

I have a English Mastiff and she is very smart and loyal. She stopped some guy from trying to kick my front door in. I'll take an English Mastiff anyday before any of the other breeds featured in this video. Oh lets not forget that she is very gentle with little kids and protective as well.

Love the video and I have a new South African Boerboel puppy. He's 7 months and getting big fast. I would guess he's 90lbs and he is the most athletic dog I've ever owned

Spanish mastiffs and English mastiffs are the largest because they both can weigh more than 250lbs regularly for males.

It's funny that people in this comment section are bragging about how big their dog is, yet nobody gives a damn lmao 😂
