Is 2024 going to be the year I go all in on eBay, simply because time and time again, eBay continues to outperform Poshmark? This week's sales are definitely inching me towards that direction due to eBay's sale making features like the ability to run sales and the smaller amount it takes in fees compared to Poshmark. I stopped listing on other platforms about a year ago. eBay reaches so many more people. Poshmark does sell higher but being part time I have to put all my effort on only one platform. Thanks for the video!

eBay is soooo complicated and not pleasing to the eye. I’m surprised that people use it so much…. Poshmark is just so user friendly and more fun. I know that I should start eBay reselling but poshmark is just genuinely so much easier.

I started on ebay, but now list to both. I love the ease of shipping on PM but hate that I have to share my closet. My notifications are so inundated with follows and shares, it sometimes just seems silly. I think they both have their pros and cons.

I have been on Ebay for about 6 months, and they are beating poshmark sales. I'm glad I joined Ebay 😅

I started on eBay and it took me a while to start on poshmark. I have always sold more on eBay and get tired of all of poshmark’s requirements, I.e. always having to share, requiring me to discount shipping, etc. eBay is just straightforward.

Oh my gosh I have the same soio blanket shawl listed right now. Also I agree I love the way sales work on eBay it’s so easy.

I am on eBay, I started on eBay and I think it is easy compared to posh. Posh is just weird! The shipping is weird and this whole sharing and liking thing is weird. I don't get it. It also takes way more time and effort than eBay does. So I'm sticking with eBay.

My issue with a shopper on posh is that dang insane ship fee for tiny items. I sell on posh but I’m so over it gonna start cross listing this week

People don't understand that promoted listing itself is when someone clicks on your item and buys it, then you pay. Pay for clicks is totally different. You're just paying when someone clicks on your items. If you pay $30 that week and only sell 10 items to clicks, you just added 3$ to each cost of goods on top of 20 % and, in some cases, 2.98 shipping.

Great video. I'm sure the other seller sounded just like your edited voice. LOL I remember getting a similar message about an item being sold on the manufacturer's website for less, but on their website it was "out of stock" for that size. That availability may be what causes some buyers to pay more from resellers (ie, the Stanley cup craze). Not sure if that was the case with your Lulu item or not.
My team depends on the item. Some items I prefer to sell on eBay, while others I prefer to sell on Posh. Clothing returns on eBay are annoying, although I recently had someone try to get a refund for a jigsaw puzzle on Posh. It was a FACTORY SEALED puzzle and the brand-new buyer said a piece was missing on the 2000 piece puzzle she supposedly completed 2 days after it was delivered. Ugh! The buyer got a refund, from Posh's pocket, and their profile hasn't been active since then (last summer). Scammers gonna scam!

eBay is great, the only issue is a major issue is the defects. On Poshmark you can cancel an item with zero repercussions, not on eBay. Say you misplace an item or you notice a damage prior to shipment, that’s a defect and you only get 3 defects and it takes 3 months to a year to come off your seller status.

Another issue are returns. I have some really bad issues with returns on eBay. I have had people wear the items ask for a return on the 29th day and send items back smelling of smoke bc they wore it to a club. I have had more returns for fit than I have prob has sales and I sell about $8k in sales on eBay a month. The amount of endless returns can almost be a panic attack waiting to happen. You can turn returns off, but then you end up getting damaged items back bc the buyers from my experience have ripped zippers, stained items purposely. I even had someone use a filter to turn an item that was white pink. Yep. You name it I have seen it.

eBay is be VERY buyer friendly and not seller friendly in comparison. The buyer will always win. It’s very stressful and is a no joke platform. Poshmark is WAY easier but the sales are not anywhere near as good as what eBay can be. My eBay sales since going full time on both platforms 2 years ago have surpassed my Poshmark sales by thousands!

I love eBay, but like I said, it’s not for the novice.

I have preferred eBay the minutes I started. Yes it's clunky and yes it's an outdated interface, however you're going to make so much more on eBay because the fees are less, and it's more like your own proper store. The thing with the sales was really important to me.

I've been a seller on both platforms for many years. The ONLY advantage of Poshmark over eBay is their no-returns policy to which they generally adhere. What eBay has going for it is a much wider customer base, the ability to use keywords and attributes to their best advantage so as to be found in search, flexibility in terms of shipping, the ability to effortlessly run a sale or provide a coupon code, and the fact that I can TURN OFF OFFERS (shouting intentional) and I do not have to offer a shipping discount if I make an offer. It is rare these days to make at least one sale a day on Poshmark; I make multiple sales every day on eBay.
