Now that’s a good what if then he ends up linking up with the Z fighters back on king Kai’s trains with them a lil bit or maybe explores other world with them before getting brought back to life there’s a lot of good possibilities

He would have been wished back when he was originally planned to be wished back, no yadrat training, have to wait another four months for the dragon balls, he'd probably train up his super saiyan, presumably with Piccolo and Gohan, Frieza and Cold show up, Goku would stomp Cold, and after training with a super saiyan Goku I do think Piccolo and Gohan could handle Cold, Mecha Freeza could handle no Yadrat training Goku, even after training with Piccolo and Gohan for around a year and a half I still don't think it wouldn't help that much unless they used the HBTT, which they wouldn't. Either Frieza kills Goku and Freinds, they manage to ass pull a victory through jumping Freiza/Zenkai boosts or Trunks shows up and the story continues with a much weaker Goku, slightly stronger Gohan and Piccolo and no instant transmission. The lack of and additional training would eventually even out, but the lack of instant transmission is devastating and if they get that far this would also mean Vegeta would likely not go to yadrat to train thus not learning spirit fusion.

Other stuff could change, maybe the extra training with Goku gave Piccolo the edge he needed to kill 17 after fusing with Kami, maybe Gohan achieved ssj in the extra year of training he got (Both unlikely, but fun to think about) both of those would throw the story off course in a more redilily apparent way, not just the absence of the instant Kamehameha.

Edit: He might have also chosen to stay and train with King Kai, which I'm just gonna assume would mean he's around the same power if not a little stronger when Mecha Freeza shows up, but no instant transmission so once again they'd have to rely on Trunks.

Fun fact: Frieza based the death saucer after the destructo disc that Krillin used on him. Creating a better version of Krillin's technique to kill Goku.

Not just that, but what if Goku didn't survive the lava when his Kamehameha crashed with Frieza Supernova strike, of course, the Manga version would have been what if he drown after the Kamehameha vs Frieza Supernova strike because he landed in the ocean. Even the last-minute dirty move that Frieza Dead when he threw the blast at him after giving him energy that's plenty of material you can do it what if.

In short ginyu and frieza survived, bulma brought goku back with the dragon balls, the z fighters including vegeta, gohan and goku still die, ginyu dies to android 20, frieza becomes immortal and destroys the androids, cell and earth
