As 7News continues to salute our military and veterans all month long, meet Sgt. 1st Class Chelsea Porterfield.
She is the first female to lead the tomb guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as Sergeant of the Guard. While there have been other female tomb guards, known as Sentinels, throughout history, Porterfield is the first female to hold this more senior position in the regiment.
