Tut's tomb was not found intact and had been broken into and robbed some, twice. The tombs at Tanis were some of the only intact tombs ever found. The Silver Pharohs

I don't think he should be laid bare like that. I respect that Howard Carter set the standard with his work. But i think the ancients would still see it as robbery and desicration. A missguided veneration. They'd see the tourism for what it is. Who could say how they'd feel about it.
