SOFT AND FLUFFY ENSAYMADA WITH UBE FILLING | UBE ENSAYMADA | HOME COOKED

ENSAYMADA is one of Filipino’s favorite bread variations and UBE is a well known favorite flavors. In this video, I combined the two most Filipino’s favorite Ube and Ensaymada, called ENSAYMADA w/ UBE FILLING.
INGREDIENTS:
*For the Dough*
4 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/4 Cup Powdered Milk
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Melted Butter
1 Tsp Iodized Salt
3 Medium Eggs
1-2 Tbsp Softned Butter ( additional to make it more softer )
*For the Yeast*
1 1/2 Tbsp Instant Yeast
1 Cup Warm Milk
1 Tbsp Sugar
For the Filling
Bottled Ube Jam/
Or you can make ube halaya on your own
*For the Toppings*
Softened Butter
Sugar
Grated Cheese
Note:
1. I bloomed the yeast to check if it is still alive, you can directly put the instant yeast to the mixture if you are using this one. If you are using Active Dry Yeast, you can do the same method by blooming it to warm water/milk with sugar.
2. Cooking time depends on every oven.
3. You can combine the powdered sugar to the butter for the toppings/frostings.
4. You can knead by hand.
5. It is normal that the mixture is sticky.
6. Use unsalted butter and good quality of butter for a soft and fluffy ensaymada.
7. I used disposable aluminum pan coz I can’t find the ensaymada pan on my place.
8. Do not over proof your dough.
