A Driveway Destroyed Larry Bird 🤦🏻‍♂️ | #shorts

Larry Bird was humble to a fault. Despite being the most popular basketball player on the planet, he dismantled his spine building a driveway for his beloved Mother.

I respond on IG (say wassup):

Just to be clear:

He didn't shovel a snowy driveway, he built a new driveway.

This, this isn't something commonly said in the GOAT debate. A lot of GOAT NBA players had the majority of their career uninjured or almost always in top shape. But Larry Bird was dominant even with his back injury. That's why Steph and Larry felt the same for me. They can play even when injured and still be dominant af.

I bet if you asked Larry he would tell you that he’d shovel that driveway again if he had the chance to go back in time. He seems like a good son

Think about this, Larry played more years in his last 7 years than the amount of years he played without the back pain/injury, and yet some consider him better than Shaq, Kobe, and many more stars. Imagine if he hadn’t had that happen to him.

Wait what, I never realised how much of his career he played with a fucked up back. literally during his peak.

He's 100% top 10 all time in any case

Larry not needing a fully working spine just proves how he is the GOAT

Girls using time machine: I'm your great grand daughter

Men using time machine: LARRY! Put that shovel down and let me!

I always knew he had some back pain but never knew it was for his FAMILY

but being real I wonder how much more dominant he would have been

I’m someone who has on and off chronic back pain through an injury and I’m blown away how he could play through that. When my back starts to flare up I can barely walk for a few weeks let alone play mvp level basketball.

Being the type of person to shovel that driveway, instead of paying someone to do it is what made Larry great.

Larry Bird: yea I injured my back badly for my family
Dom torreto: did you say family
Larry bird: DOM TOREETO
Dom torreto: nothings more important than family “invents new spinal procedure for Larry bird”

So building the new driveway caused this? Or shoveling snow? It isn’t really clear. The visual says snow, but Rhino says building it?

I grew up working for my Father's concrete finishing company and that's some of the hardest work ever. It takes a lot of getting use to, you can't take a job like that with having experience in the field. We've had a few customers that tried and stopped we they realized how difficult the work.

I read in his autobiography that the back pain would’ve occur regardless of his career choice or what he did, it was apart of a condition he was born with. So doing the driveway didn’t help, but it didn’t directly cause the back pain.

Edit: For the people wondering whether he shoveled or completely redid the driveway, it was latter, or at least that was what was said in his autobiography.
