Making excuses for a broke down body. I’m from Indianapolis, I’m 54 where basketball is God! Bird was good but they always tried to put him on a pedestal, gave him all the calls but if he was so good, why did the Lakers(5), Pistons(2) and Sixers(1) win on his watch? He was known as the GWH (Great white Hope). In the words of Joe Dumars “if Bird was black, he’d be just another player “ he told that to Isaiah Thomas. We didn’t like Bird, he was from a racist town and he didn’t like us. Plus Bird didn’t take care of his daughter. Bird’s no saint. Not a lot people know that. Go Pacers
