Before anyone asks, yes, my wife is the only reason this run made it out the door. I'm sure her influence is obvious.

This was great. I'm sure the execution was a little mind-numbing but you could never tell from the end result. The interaction with Jojabot was just enough to make this an entertaining video from start to finish.

the Community Center is actually possible (and even **reasonable**) to do with this ruleset; tilling with bombs and watering with sprinklers will do you for all the crops, bombing through the mines will get you minerals, and autograbbers can get you milk for Animal Products (which would otherwise require 4 energy with a pail). the only things you'd need to rely on rng for would be the fishing bundles, whose contents (except the crab pot, which can be mostly forage + 1 crab from rock crabs) will only be available through the Travelling Cart.

11:04 Backlogs: "Why is the solution always bombs?"
Jojabot: "I dont know why Iam here, I dont know how I got here, all I know is that I must kill"

Getting this run off the ground is the hardest part, but actually may not be so bad if you play your cards right. Foraging for easy money at the start, investing time to get bomb drops from bats on the farm (or potentially from friendship from a select few villagers - looking at you, Kent), and upgrading your level to get sprinklers. Bomb the soil to till ground and you have a way to farm, although I would probably go for a chicken coop first for more stable/earlier funds. Barns with cows/goats could also work with the auto-grabber in the long run, and pigs wouldn't require any energy for the truffles.

Fruit trees may have been useful, and running certain quests on the board could have helped get a bit more money early on. If you'd gone with the beach farm, random stuff washes up on the shores in crates occasionally for extra cash (though the bomb drops from bats would have been more useful, probably).

Unfortunately, the only way I can think to complete the community center is through the traveling cart because you are completely unable to fish (outside of the "fishing" you could do with crab pots, should you ever acquire one). It's technically possible if all the fish you need for the center has a chance to appear in that cart, but the Joja warehouse is much, MUCH easier to complete.

Great video, enjoyed watching the strategy come together, and trying to think of my own as well.

I almost had a heart attack when I saw this. It’s super cool, but I was doing a no energy run too and planning a video for it. But I was doing the community center, so phew. Great video!

I gotta say I’m a fan of JojaBot, will it be a returning guest?

Ahhh. Great times. Gotta say, not what I expected Lemon; but you're like an exotic box of chocolates when it comes to challenges, unusual but a treat none the less.

The quality of your videos is leagues above what your sub count would imply. You deserve to be recognized for your hard work. Keep it up, man.

You can actually get all your skills to max without using energy, which would make for a very tedious but doable run.

Farming: bombs till the ground and rain/sprinklers water crops to be harvested. Planting and harvesting requires no energy. Also the animal route in this vid.
Mining: you get mining xp when rocks are broken, even with bombs
Foraging: you can level up by foraging items, which requires no energy.
Fishing: crab pots are your only option for fishing xp. You can get 3 crab pots from the bundle in the community center by giving it a clam, a cockle, a muscle, and an oyster, all of which you can forage on the beach. The final item is the crab, which you can get from rock crabs. This will be by far the most tedious one to level up.
Combat: killing monsters requires no energy.

I would love to see this happen

Fishing can be done with no energy. Completing the crabpot bundle will get you two crabpots which will slowly gather fishing exp. Eventually you will reach the level where you can buy more crabpots.

Jojo bot learned so much on this journey. The love of chickens, bombs solve all problems, and a funny new word. :P

I LOVE this concept, I don't think I've ever seen a ytber use a Joja robot to do these kinda challenges! I loved this vid, keep up the good job my man!!!

More Stardew challenges?
I was thinking quests and community board as your only cash options.
Also community center is only mid game at this point, that would be like stopping a ds1 run before the dlc :p
Keep up the good work, you bring much joy 😊

OKAY SO
You can probably do completion without energy! Until the end of the game at least. Here's how:
The start is very similar to yours, get chickens as soon as possible and once you have them, reset days until you get enough bombs to reach level 5. This takes a while, but with the help of a wilderness farm (or a foraging farm, but only until the debris clogs everything up) you should be able to get that around summer of year one like you did. There are a few other things you can do from here: firstly, buying crab pots and bait from willy's shop will give you fishing experience. You can level up fishing that way for now, and it will help once you get a recycling machine. You can also try using a fish pond, but getting the seaweed will be very rough as foraging is very rare, but once you get it put a crab in there for more chances of getting seaweed. You'll have to rely on slimes to get algae for those as well. Farming will give you access to the sprinklers eventually, and bombs can be used to till or harvest trees, so it will be expensive but you can eventually grow crops, which you should be able to go straight into kegs since that will take a while and yield a lot of wood and time to get oak resin as well. But, as of yet, completion is still very much out of reach, as you can't even fish or get artifacts from artifact spots. Well, the solution lies at the end of the game, and in fact the end of the third mine of the game: the "efficient" enchantment will allow you to use the fishing rod and the hoe! So you just have to do all of the Joja quest, and have somehow gotten enough hardwood, batteries, and iridium for the boat, and buy the bridge from the parrot. This part will take a while, as there aren't very many walnuts you can get without using energy. This is where the no energy thing breaks: unfortunately the only way to get into the volcano without using energy is a bridge which you can unlock with golden walnuts. Now, the walnuts aren't actually the problem here, the issue is that you need to have completed the dungeon in order to have that parrot available to purchase the bridge, so you're in a catch 22 because you need to use a watering can in order to get through the first time. Unfortunately the only solution I can think of involves the sword swing out of bounds exploit. I don't even know if sprinklers will on lava but they definitely will not reach far enough, and you absolutely need to cross that lava in order to beat that dungeon. So, the run takes one exploit, (or you could just use a watering can) but you can do completion without energy. Let me know if I'm forgetting anything or if there's another way around that issue!

I don't know why the YT algorithm brought this video to me ... but I haven't laughed so hard at a Stardew run in a long, long time. Well done.

Been playing Stardew Valley a lot recently and never would I have thought Lemon would be able to come up with a challenge run for this game, he's simply built different

Crazy how I just started playing this game a week ago, now there's all this new Stardew content popping up. Big fan of jojabot. May he serve his corporate overlords well.
