I don't know but the concept of the rebels shipping Tauntauns around the Galaxy to use everywhere just makes me laugh.

Don't lose that Providence. It's named Rebel One and is the flagship of the rebellion before Home One arrived. It's also not a ship you can get back if it's destroyed.

A bunch of strategic tips for the rebels:
1)I'm not sure if you get a Mandator if you capture Kuat anymore. Corey didn't, so I guess there is no point in doing this.
2)The only way you can defend a planet in space is by having t3 space station+starfighter factory+ion canon. This combo is expensive, so you shouldn't fortify anything except importanr chokepoints is you don't want to run out of money trying to rebuild everothing.
3)Upgrading space stations increases trade income from hyperlanes, so you can build them up in territories that you consider being safe from space attacks. This is important, because this is the only way to get reliable income as rebels.
3)You really should form up your territory around MonCal. Somewhere around week 5 you will get a quest to bring Mon Mothma over there. After keeping her there for some time you will start receiving free ships from there.
4)Attack Ord Mantrel. You will cut off 4 planets from the Empire, create a chokepoint and an ability to rescue your trapped Procidence

Really fun coming back to see how it all started, considering we've wrapped up Rebellion campaign four and are in the midst of enjoying what, the third Imperial run on the all-new updated like 190 player galactic super-map? Gameplay systems, remnants of the old UI being swept away, the thing that hits most nostalgic for me is of course that music, 13:50.

Just some Advice for ya Cap'n you should prep for a large imperial capital ship attack early game. I just finished my own play through and it was made quite apparent that the Empire starts with a lot of bigger vessels. So beware. And when engaging a star destroyer, you can match it with 3 Dreadnaught class heavy Cruisers, or 1to 2 Mon Cal Star Cruisers, or 5 Nebulan B Frigates, or 12 Rebel CR90 Corvettes. It takes a lot of work but you can beat them with a mixed force just make sure to have fighters target sub-systems and always kill shield generators first. And when dealing with swarms of TIE Fighters its best to counter with 3 or 4 CR90 Corvettes. Because 1 CR90 can handle 2 or 3 TIE Fighter Squadrons but they can be overrun very quickly so its best to avoid contact all together if you can't match the opposing imperial force. Otherwise the Empire can and will crush you. Lol. Just some friendly advice from one Rebel scum to another.

Also Shack, your fighters is one of your best units, use them against the ISD, your fighters are stronger than the other factions. Also the Clone vats on Kamino are online, that's why infantry is so cheap on it.

First Corey, now Shack. I'm loving all the attention AotR's been getting lately. It really is an amazing mod, one of my all-time favorites right up there with Thrawn's Revenge.

The unknown region encompasses the westernmost parts of the inner, mid and outer rims, it's not it's own galactic rim.

Shack the Jedi on kamino is from the force unlashed game, he was one of the original founders of the alliance.

I think if the army retreats, and when they self destruct the space-station it damages any nearby ships and destroys fighters. But if you just destroy the space-station yourself that doesn't happen. I think that's why your fighters got destroyed

Yes, finally you play the new Alpha Version of one of my favorite mods in EaW. You should keep two things in mind while playing which are new to the mod. Infantry units now shoot while walking, in the Vanilla Version they always had to stop and acted like turrets. And the AI won't simply throw their capital ships straight forward anymore. Instead they will try to flank your fleet with bombers and Ties and as you saw in the battle over Myrkr capital ships will stay in the back. All in all the AI acts a little bit more clever than in the normal version of the game. So wish you good luck with the Rebellion Captain. May the force be with you.

That Providence design is the same as for Rebel One, the precursor to Home One.
