Roborock S5 S6 Fan Speed Lowered, Check Filter, Blocked Strainer, Error 10 Take Apart

Roborock S5 S6 Error 10: Check the filter. If wet, use a dry one. If dry, clean it and try again. On your app, it says "Fan speed lowered due to blocked strainer. Clean strainer to resume". But no matter how you clean, the error persists. But you can still use your Roborock. For S7 onwards, you may not need to take apart the robot. There is an access opening from the dust container compartment.

Thank you for the video 😊 Our S5 (bought in 2019, so 5 years old now) had cleaned 1.300 times totalling 500h and 28.000m2 before this issue arose. With your video it was very simple to dismantle and clean it and now it’s ready for the next 5 years! I can’t fault them for the design at all. It was a very easy job.

This video alone saved me from throwing away a perfectly good vacuum. I had actually bought a maintenance kit and was fuming about the constant error and lack of power. Thanks a lot, the vacuum works perfectly now. It may not be a 5 minute job, but at least we're lucky we can take it apart and fix it ourselves.

What a major design flaw that you have to do all of that to get to trapped dust!

Thank you so much for the video. That error was driving me crazy. I never would have dared dismantle the Roborock and fix it without your instructions. My son and I did it, and it worked!

Thank you! It's alive and working perfectly. I saw the video until you started the assembly, then watch it backwards, I missed the arrows pointing where the screws should go 😁.

Once again, thank you so much.

Agree with the comment about not wanting to attempt this without your video! I've had this robot vacuum for just over 2 years now and it started giving me this error code a month ago and then eventually stopping mid clean, very annoying! It is now fixed thanks to your video, very helpful and easy to follow along with. Very much appreciated, earned a subscriber :-)

after having all the same hassles, i found that using another vacuum cleaner hose to suck the intake air spot solved the problem for me. It only sucked up a small amount of fluff and dust into its clear canister, but that totally solved it. So maybe try that before you pull the machine apart. I did remove the filter and brush first so that they didn't provide resistance when sucking the dust from the air intake spot

Ty for the video ;)

Thanks for the video! It worked perfectly well and is very easy to dissamble/assemble following the video instructions. I'd add that the part that doesn't need to be taken appart are the 2 big wheels. All the other parts are mandatory to reach the air outlet and the air blower

Thanks! Resolved our problem with our S6. Crazy that it is so difficult to access this accumulated dust.

Phantastic. Got permanently error 10 after about 3 years of flawless usage of my S6. And ist gone now - hopefully for the next 3 years. Thank you so much!!

Excellent video and as others have said, it saved me from buying a new model. Following your process was easy and there was a lot of dust inside mine (S5), mainly on the outside of the filter on the fan itself, plus some in the mesh filter on the external housing. It's now running as good as new and more powerful than it has been for ages. Thank you for taking the time to post this tutorial.

Just wanted to say thanks! I kept getting "Filter blocked or wet" errors on my Roborock S6, despite cleaning or replacing the filter. This involved more screws than I'd hoped, but ultimately it totally worked. I assume cleaning the internal filter and screen was the solution. All good now.

i followed your tutorial to disassemble my roborock s6 maxv, and even though it's a bit different from yours I could reach the filter and clean it all up. Now it's cleaning like it was new! thank you! :)

It's unbelievable, thanks for the video. It took me almost 3 hours, but I managed to disassemble everything and assemble it again, I finally can't hear: "check the filter" 😝i'm hoping it's for a long time🙏

Thank you SO much for this video! It was very helpful and definitely saved my Roborock! I bought it 3 years ago and the filter was really dusty! Thanks again!!

It worked perfectly on mine too, thank you. At first, it is a little overwhelming with so many screws, but you quickly figure out how to proceed here
