Another super interesting reader question: "How do you write Pythonic code?"

What does it mean to write "Pythonic" code? It's a word that's often used in the Python community but it's quite difficult to pin down its meaning.

In this video I'm sharing some of my thoughts on what it means to write Pythonic code and what you can do to get closer to this ideal in your own code.

What's your definition of "Pythonic code?" Leave a comment below and let me know :-)

Dan, I agree with you, and would like to add my own perspective. Becoming skilful in writing pythonic code is part of learning Python, it's a never-ending learning process that you improve over a lifetime of practice. It is a classic case of developing tacit knowledge - you observe experts (their code), copy what they do and practice coding (I think you need to code every day). Another way of helping develop tacit knowledge is to reflect and review on and with your (work) code, an experienced mentor or coach will help to do this. Gradually the knowledge sticks.
