People should be paid for what they are worth.
Stress undernines productivity !

Malaysia underpays !

All credit card issuing banks that I’m aware of in Malaysia, do have some flexibilities in allowing statement date to be re-aligned. It is just 1 call away to the customer service. I align all my cards to the same statement cycle (thus the payment due date)

As an American viewer (yes, you have at least one), I was surprised to learn every 2 weeks or bimonthly pay was an uncommon option in Malaysia. I know exactly one person who isn't on a pension that gets paid monthly. The reasons for it being widespread here are exactly what you talk about in your video.

For me there's good sides and bad sides, the good sides are like what you've mentioned in the video, where on the other hand bad side is that it does not suit for people without discipline or in Chinese we called 月光族 which basically means finish up all the salary when you get it on hand. Some people when they see cash on their hand they will spend it, where as if paid by monthly, you can allocate some of the money (paying yourself) before paying the bills. Of course these come down to own preferences! Able to opt in for Biweekly salary is of course an extra point!

Of course, health benefits/providers must changed due to hybrid work

2 week method will help people budget. Also if you have a credit card repayment date that doesn’t work for you then speak with the credit card provider. I personally experienced this where originally I would get paid on 25th of the month, and the card is due last day of the month, however after switching jobs I now get paid last working day of the month, which gives rise to risk of missing the repayment day, so called up American Express and they agreed to move the date to 2nd of every month to give some buffer.

I suppose u can call in the bank to align the credit card statements date????
Whether paid monthly, weekly, biweekly, annually, i think most ppl are not adequately educated in budgeting and personal finance..., which is where personal finance channels like Mr Money come in...😂😊

If most of these stacked against me, then Malaysia might be no more my boss or a customer. Then say hello to MNC & SG
