That is what I was always taught. In Creation, only another Pope can judge a Former Pope. In the end Jesus Christ will judge us all.

Now, just as the Little Church had no bishop who recognized them, so the sedevacantists had no bishop who recognized them, all of whom recognized Paul VI as Pope in 1963, and recognized Francis as Pope in 2013.


And also : Council of Trent, at Sess. 23, canon 7, says that those who aren't sent by the ecclesiastical and canonical Authority of the Church aren't legitimate. It is de fide, without exception. But sedes bishops and priests weren't sent by any Canonical Authority, thus these bishops don't legitimately succeeed to Apostles.
