People that are highly narcissistic usually like to put up this front that they are all knowing all seeing all powerful! Nothing shakes them or scares them and they are 6 moves ahead of the whole world. However, there are times when we see something really scare and get to the core of a narcissist.
WE can actually cause them to panic!

You'll see this when they're playing the victim but there are times when, even though they don't want to and even though they ARE trying to hide it, they ARE absolutely scared and can't help but to be really obvious about it.

I think abandonment and exposure are narc’s two greatest fears…

Exposure definitely. After my narc ex left me for his alcoholic, internet girlfriend I starting telling the truth about him. His violent temper that resulted in physical domestic violence, his porn & alcohol addiction as well as his total lack of any morals whatsoever left him totally exposed. None of our mutual friends would have anything to do with him. This made him very angry. I lived in fear that he would come after me. Now I just feel sorry for any poor woman who he end up hooking up with on the internet

Highly recommend the book/film 'In Broad Daylight', about the true story of a small town that was terrorised for decades by one narcissistic guy who always escaped justice. The final straw was when he shot a beloved elderly shopkeeper & several townsfolk took him out, in broad daylight. The 45 witness at the crime scene saw absolutely nothing. Even the town sheriff was like 'meh, sh't happens' and closed the case, with nobody being punished. It's a feelgood story for any survivor, particularly as it all really happened. Best bit was his many ex wives saying afterwards how his death was the best thing to ever happen to them.

For the higher functioning ones, exposure definitely. That high flying career is the ultimate mask and fuel generator (doctor, lawyer, teacher, etc.). They really rely on people believing in their pretend sainthood.

The worst for my ex, a sociopathic narcissistic, was when i masterminded leaving them. It took about a year to set it all up ao that my kids and I would be safe. And i leveled his ass 👊 yes, i was terrified but i kept going for my kids and i was trying to not get killed. He had a nuclear meltdown, of course, but i was safely away by then, and my kids were safe too. 10 yrs later and he still "hates" me, where i couldn't care less. Kids are grown and fine. I'm safely alone. -- and life goes on

Going no contact and moving forward with your life and just washing your hands and completely leaving them the fck alone is a nightmare for them 👍 Jess thanks for the video 🦋

I broke up with a high functioning narc a couple of months ago. Exposure was absolutely the thing she feared the most. A smear campaign was already happening prior to break up toward her friend who knew a lot of her secrets and now it of course continues since her friend exposed her only that I am now being smeared as well for calling her out.

They didn't receive unconditional love in childhood they don't get love, love to them is getting their way. If you give them love it doesn't mean the same to them I think it makes them uncomfortable they fake it at the start but can't keep it going.

Loss of control is high on the list for my ex. He'll do darn near anything to control.

Ha ha ha…loved the space shuttle joke! It’s so true. The ex narc would make a big production over everything like that let’s see what kind of a beer do I want to drink tonight and have the waiter standing there for five minutes. What an ego centered embarrassing ass.

I scare narcs. I just let them know I won’t bend. I tell them what I will and won’t accept and what they need to fix. I don’t beg, I just tell them what they better do and put fear in them. I demand respect.

I was with a covert narc for 4years. Dang, I did the abandonment (according to him I abandoned him after my mom died and I was severely depressed) AND I exposed him when he was trying to hide the fact that he was having an online affair the whole month before he broke up with me. He denied it, I sent him a screenshot of his FB page where he has been in a relationship with the other woman two days before he broke up with me. I got blocked so quickly my head was spinning😂. So I doubt I will ever hear from him again🎉. Been 5 months of peace and freedom❤
