The HORRIFYING Last Moments Of Jerromy Brooks

Fueled by the eyes that watched him in awe, Jerromy took a step towards the snake, kitchen tongs in his right hand, pointing out, and the bag in his left hand. In the blink of an eye, the snake reacted: it raised the anterior part of its body well off the ground and opened its mouth slightly, showing its ferocious fangs. In an instant, Jerromy regretted his actions. The snake lashed out, sinking its fangs deep into Jerromy’s left hand, leaving him with more than a couple of bites. It was a colossal miscalculation. Despite the snake’s attack, the man succeeded in catching it inside the bag and placing the snake in the trunk of his car.

I hate to ask why this guy didn’t go to the hospital RIGHT AFTER he was bitten. This makes zero sense!!!

Moral of the story is when you get bit by a venomous snake 🐍 you go straight to the hospital 🏥.

Let’s add this up so it makes no sense
He’s not a snake handler
He uses food tongs
He uses non protective gloves
He doesn’t call 911
He doesn’t go to hospital
The school doesn’t call a professional snake handler
The school doesn’t call 911
The kids interview him and do a Q and A Session
His wife tries to help him first before calling 911

Gee, how could this gone any worse? Or who didn’t see his death coming quickly?

This just has STUPIDITY all over this. Feel bad for the guy but don’t be a hero if you have no common sense

How could anyone in Australia with no experience or tools try and catch a snake by hand, then not even worry after getting bit….
Sad story but he should have called a professional and just helped keep the kids inside.

The preschool should have shelled out and called a professional, and left Jerromy alone.

Why did the daycare call Jeremy? He wasn't a snake handler or a reptile wrangler? Why didn't they call someone that was familiar with venomous snakes?

Why didn't the employees of the day care call for help or one of them drive him to hospital!? Instead they stood around and let the kids ask him questions!? WTF! If he got anti venom he may have survived.

For everyone: do not try to catch the snake, it’s better for you to kill the snake than for the snake to kill you

Sad story but...Jerromy, you should have taken yourself to the hospital.

Australia has anti-venom in most hospitals for every native venomous snake. Weird that an Australian didn’t know what kind of snake it was.

He wasn’t a hero… he was an idiot for abandoning his family over stupidity.

Not for nothing, according to this video narrative, this man watched Steve Irwin all the time and how he handled all the species of venomous snakes and explained how dangerous each one was but decided to go to that center and remove one of Australia's second most venomous snakes using kitchen tongs, cloth gloves and a plastic trash bag. He ends up getting bitten multiple times and then returns home instead of the nearest hospital? He didn't bother to call a professional just to play it safe. His pride is to blame for his death..

Such an avoidable situation..., it's admirable that Jerromy went to help the children and daycare staff, but the best course of action should have been for the daycare to call a professional snake handler.

A little statistic:
approx. 3400 people get bitten by venomous snakes in Australia per year.
800 of those require hospitalisation, 2 people die on average per year.
To immediately call for help is a must....not to is deathly!
The only fatality for this year so far occurred in Townsville again, this time by a Costal Taipan, even with the best medical care.

If I received a bite from ANYTHING in Australia I'd assume it's poisonous.

Don't play with danger. You might not survive the stunt.

If a snake gets inside my house it will be a homeowner.

These reptile relocation companies advertise EVERYWHERE all over Queensland. I don't know who this relative was that thought it was a good idea to tell him about this snake, but I hope they feel some sort of guilt for this guy's death. (Even though we're all responsible for our own decisions, as he was, I don't know what she was thinking calling him about it, ultimately leading to his death).
From what I understand, it wasn't his kids going to that school, so why on earth did this relative call him regarding the snake. Why not call a snake catcher, And then why in turn did he not call a snake catcher, instead of going there himself with kitchen tongs??

And why did the wife not call the ER immediately?? This isn't the 1950s, and it's not rural India.
Everyone involved should feel horrible and should know better. I'm so pissed off! Arghh

He was a nice guy, but he lives there and should have known he needed to go straight to the ER.
