This video just makes me want to cry. My Mom’s friend just recently put her dog down due to a tumor in her stomach. My Mom and her friend were just talking, and she told her friend the story of my dog passing away. My Mom felt him one day, and his fur was sticky. We took him into the vet, and they did a test. The vet said the numbers were off the charts. He said we would have to give his insulin every hour on the hour day and night. That of course was way too much. He passed away a week later. We have another dog now who’s 14, and has arthritis. We give him medicine to help, and it does its job. The vet said he wouldn’t do surgery, because there would be a chance he wouldn’t wake up after. He said his time would come one day. My dog is a good little guy

My 14 year old Cockapoo was diagnosed with this yesterday. I’m going to dedicate myself to keeping him healthy and happy no matter what it takes. ❤

My 4 year old boy just got diagnosed with diabetes. We caught it early so the outlook seems good, but I'm nervous as hell. He's my heart.

Diabetes is stupid. I lost my baby three weeks ago to it. I took THE BEST care of him though. It just got the best of him. RIP my baby.

I so appreciate this! I’m a retired nurse but my dog having diabetes is really freaking me out. She starts insulin today.

My dog was diagnosed with diabetes about a month ago. He is currently on insulin and diabetic diet. It had been a bit challenging in the beginning to balance his glucose level but since I have been using Free Style Libre sensor for his glucose measurements, it has been so easy.
I can monitor his glucose level at any minute without causing any discomfort to my dog which is amazing. He is doing great despite the fact that he is 13 yo and has heart issues and thyroid.

We have had a diabetes dog for several years. It was also a wonderfull tie. Now it was us paying back, and it was not a problem.

I know this video is a couple years old but on July 19, 2022 my 12-year-old Chihuahua Macy got diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. Being already disabled myself with autoimmune diseases it’s been very hard to find information that I can print out and I’ve been reading everything I built a finder with 16 dividers and I document everything she does on the chart But being that I am disabled and now she’s disabled it’s so much more on me.
Forget the fact that the vet diagnosed her gave us a box with needles and one box insulin and sent us out the door with nothing but the receipt for $1100. Needless to say I’m suing them.
Everything I know so far about diabetes and keeping her alive and managed I’ve had to research, Reed., Comprehend and put into practice because I’ve been left to do this alone with no veterinary support.

My 12-year-old multi pool was diagnosed three months ago and we have increased her to seven MG. She’s doing great but I believe her eyes may be showing signs of cataract. She is healthy otherwise. Does anyone have recommendations for a good diabetic dog food I was making my own and then switched over to Yum Wolf mix And added my own protein. But was wondering what has been recommended giving all that she needs to stay healthy. Thank you very much. Loved your video.

Took mine to Vet 2 days and they have kept her for 2 days now and going on 3.because they Cannot stabilize her levels.(700).She is a small dog, 12 yrs old..What can I expect if they can't lower her sugar levels soon??..Should I just have her released and try to treat her myself?..Has to be an alternative.

I used the Free Style sensor but had to replace very soon. after 3 days started failed, had to replace many times. I was told it is meant for humans. is it another way to control the glucose.
