You forgot to mention that you have to inject the equivalent air into the bottle before withdrawing the insulin into the syringe. If you don't maintain the pressure balance in the bottle you will create a vacuum in the bottle and it may implode. I speak as a type 1 diabetic of 45 years.

Everything I have read and my vet said sides But not scruff at the back of neck. The thing that has saved me is pet autoject made giving insulin so much easy for me and Chiweenie.🙂

I appreciate this information and demo because my vet did not mention mishap with blood. I have to do this by myself and was told not to do a second injection if I had doubts of doing it correctly.

Thanks for the video. Did the dog eat just before you injected? My 10 yr old Pug has just started and our vet instructed to feed just before administering Caninsulin. I find this a little confusing as this is a slow release, not rapid insulin. Thanks in advance!
