Fix Screen Resolution Problem in Windows 10

If you are having a issue changing your Display Settings because they are grayed out or your having some other type of Screen Resolution issue, then this video could help you.

So you screen size is stuck in a low screen resolution and you can't change settings in Advanced Display Settings.

Why does it happen?

It happens when your graphics driver ie display driver is corrupt, missing or you are using the wrong driver. its a easy fix. First you need to know whether you are using Nvidia or AMD display driver.

To do this

* Right-Click Desktop
* Display Settings
* Advanced Display Settings
* Display Adapter Properties

Once in Adapter Properties, you should see Display Driver.
Now you need to download the correct driver for your computer system.

The best way to resolve this issue is to uninstall or update driver. I went with the uninstall method, once uninstalled, reboot and install the correct graphics driver for your card.

Reboot once more and now you should see the settings in Advanced Display Settings allow you to change the size of your screen resolution.

for me the uninstall device is grey and cannot be clicked.

Try turn off pc. Unplug display port/HDMI cable. Turn on PC and plug cables back in. worked for me.

nothing worked for me but i managed to fix it just minutes ago. when I went to the driver properties i noticed the "roll back" option was grayed out but I thought this was normal. anyway I went to recovery and I chose the option that let you go back to the previous build of windows 10. again that didn't fix a thing but when I went to the driver properties, the " roll back" option wasn't grayed out this time and I can click on it so I did it and this fixed my screen resolution issue. hope this will help you too cus I was this close to give up.

Hello, I have a problem that my display resolution (in settings) is not showing the recommended resolution I think it was 19..x1440 but it won't show it and also if I change the resolution to 19(IDK)0 x 1080 the taskbar is so small and stretched out and ugh so much more but now if I change it to a lower resolution the screens just squished and bad please someone help me with this

I just built my first pc, and everything eventually went in smoothly, and it look all fine, except the bios freezes like crazy...no idea why but it's been linked apparently in the past to smart tv's and msi...I dunno.
My question today is why thumbnails look crap, on youtube for example, the monitor is registering 8bit depth, least it was until I checked for monitor updates, not it's changed to 12.

The graphics card is freshly updated.

B450gaming pro carbon ac, 2700x, msi rx590 8g oc, ryzen 2700x, monitor is smart tv, but I don't recall the quality being poor like this is now on my old pc...I am confused, .

One question does this work for Laptop cuz i have 2 screens one laptops one philips on philips is 1920x1124 and on laptop is 1366x768 so does that work for laptop
and u just can go to intel(r) card see screen and set on 1920x1124 that work
