As a fan of slower pacing even to the extent it turns away newcomers, I know I’ll like the new adaptation just not as much as the original. The journey has felt more like we as readers/watchers have been along for the ride BECAUSE of the pacing. I think every event in the series so far (excluding 2y timeskip) only adds up to a half dozen months sailing time. 1/2 a year still isn’t very long to see everyone’s motivations and goals expressed.

I see what you mean, but both the title and your argument are misleading af - just because you think the animation got worse, doesn’t make the anime as a whole “BAD”.

I agree that Wit is incredibly talented and a great choice for the remake tho (Vinland Saga S1 is still my favourite piece of art ever and one of the reasons is 100% the Wit’s beautiful visuals)
