Great review, Will. :)
I smell a Taycan Turbo S vs Tesla Model S P110D battle coming...

Both Taycan and Etron look the best in their classes.

Thank you for talking about the handling compared to the sportiest Tesla models. No one else on the first drives has given us this info!

Porsches first try all electric (not to mention the first in 1898) and did it properly. A true car maker. Could it be technology from RIMAC???

The interior is the best I've seen in my life, luckily those who can see that interior daily.

I applaud Porsche for delivering an EV that seems well-made. If you favour build quality, and is willing to pay for it, I'm sure this is a great car. However, other car manufacturers, including Porsche, acknowledges that they are years behind Tesla in many areas, like motor efficiency, battery technology, charging network and in particular self driving. Consider that Model S/X built today are on SEVEN year old platform, and are due for a refresh. Yet the best traditional car makers struggle to compete. It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming years!

Little misinformation. You can launch the Tesla multiple times 0-60 in ludicrous. There also is no better UI than the Tesla screen. It’s the most convenient, easy, far more functional touchscreen than any car period. Nobody seems to get down I to the details when comparing how a regular person would use it. They talk about features but never functionality and convenience. Interiors are minimalistic. Nobody cares. They say quality as if Tesla’s have been falling apart to pieces inside the cabin. it’s just more simple.

Tycan looks fresh and stylish nice to see more usable electric cars.

3:04 Not quite true. Tesla Model 3 is so much more efficient than the Taycan that it gets faster range per unit time. For instance, time to add 300km range is 14m in the Model 3 and 20m in the Taycan.

Did you just say the rotary control is better than a pure touchscreen display like in a Tesla? What year is this?

Wow, I always thought the Taycan looked rather stunning, but in this metallic green, it is nothing short of stupendously beautiful. The design of the rear end is my favorite aspect. That a six-footer can sit in the rear is indeed a feat considering how low-slung the whole design is. Great review - well-judged balance between details and data against subjective observations. I am now subscribing to this channel, as a result!

Such a beautiful car, the most beautiful EV ever! And I love the Mamba Green colour! The best colour for the Taycan.

Great review and a superb looking car - never thought I'd like it in green but it works quite well. Green or whichever colour one might prefer, , it gets my vote for first place for both for interior and exterior styling.

I'm surprised Porsche manage to put the active spoiler on the sedan boot

Wow, impressive. "Electrified" is the way of the future for sports cars, too.

How long does it take to cool down the boost

Nice review - I'm happy to see a Tesla competitor video where they don't throw bs shade at the big T. My only nitpick is that at 5:40 he claims that you can only do one ludicrous launch in a Tesla. That's completely false. To get a ludicious "plus" launch, you do have to wait for the battery to come up to temp, but once it's there, you can do many launches. The main reason the model S has a problem on a racetrack is the hard launches & regen braking, both of which raise the temps without any kind of real reprieve. If you're drag racing, or street racing, it's not a problem.
This is all solved in the Plaid drivetrain, but that won't be out for a year.
[EDIT] I guess I should have watched to the end before posting. He does start to throw BS shade - like complaining about the Model S steering. Tesla steering is absolutely precise and quick. There is no delay between a steering input and a reaction from the car, though you do get sharper steering with low-profile tires. I have both (winters are normal, summers are lo-pro) and I feel the difference. Regardless, it's very sharp steering, so that is a bogus complaint.
As for the interior "Quality" - the Tesla interior quality is just as good as Porsche. It's just the design is a lot more minimalist, which I prefer. Tesla's are also better with space - you have a *lot* more space inside than in the competitors.

Amazing car, best EV out there to date, if you've a spare £100K in your bank.
What it will do however is promote EVs and win over many people from Piston cars who will most likely buy a Tesla Model 3. So rather than a Tesla killer, it's more a Tesla supporter.

Design-wise, none of the mentioned EVs is to shout about. Maybe the Jag, but great compliments to Porsche for not repeating the awful Panamera shape.
